They really are cute and for 2.3 seconds I actually thought about getting one, but then I remembered how much stuff I have to take care of now and I just couldn't do it. My 2 pits already take enough time, the cat has almost 0 time, my 15-year old stepson takes a LOT of my energy, a new baby due in October will get 98.2% of me and then my husband on top of all that? No time for a hedgehog. =(

They are pretty stiff now. They are usually soft for less than a day when they are first born.

Oh are they so cute...and I can tell from day one that they have gotten a tad bit bigger....and the spines look like they've hardened.

They are actually sharper when they are younger! When they are tame, they don't ball up when you go to pick them up. They have nice, soft bellies.
