The Black Bear Cub.These are from yesterday. He hasn't shown up yet today.I hope he doesn't because then he will have to be trapped and taken away.I hope we scared him enough to make him go deep into the woods where he will be safe.Hid Mother still hasn't been around.

I Like the photos where he looks like he posing on the boulder.

These are very nice, Elaine
Thanks Carolyn
Nice photos Elaine, he really is a cute little bear.
Thanks Kat
I envy your yard, I could just sit there all day. wouldn't care if the bear visisted. but I know that he has to go. They get to use to easy food.
Thanks Tammy
That is such a neat site to see in your own backyard. The largest animals that show up at my place are neighborhood dogs that have gotten out of their yard. Otherwise we see a few rabbits, squirrels and birds and that is about it!
It sure a sight to see Alex.
Thanks for stopping by.
Nature was really playing a trick on us when making these bears so darned cuddly-cute!!
I agree Tammy.
You got some really nice shots of the bear!
Thanks Sandy
Great close-up captures Elaine. I've never seen any bear in the wild
Thanks Rebecca
wonderful shots
Thanks Karen
He is just too cute.
Makes ya wish you could hug him.....BUT.I won't...
Cute! But hopefully he'll stay away.
Thanks Tory.I haven't seen him yet today.
Wow - I would be so scared of the mother coming around!
We can't find the mother.people have been looking, because they don't want to take it from it's mother but she is nowhere to be found. if he comes back today they will set a trap for him.
cute but i would not want him at my house.
your welcome elaine
Great shots.
Thanks for stopping by to see the bear cub
They are great photos, Elaine.
Thanks for stopping by
I've seen a number of black bears in the past two years. Seems like it is always when I least expect it, one will cross the highway or be sitting along the way. I even came across a mother and two cubs when I was riding my horse. That was interesting, to say the least!!! Let's just say we went home very fast that day!
I wouldn't want to come close to a mamma and her cub.
I'm glad you rode away.
Lovely pics.
I remember seeing tv shows about the disastrous consequences for wild animals that become too comfortable around humans, it just doesn't work out. I hope that this situation ends well.
Hi Helen,Thanks for stopping by
The cub is back with his mother now.
He is such a cute little guy.
great pics, i hope this ends well for the baby bear - where could his mmma be?
Hi Fran,Thanks for stopping by.The cub is no longer here.He must have found his mother
this animal is cute. can I make it my pet?
Thanks for stopping by.
I really don't think you will want him for a pet..lol
Amazing
Thanks for stopping by Rita
I hope he stays away and hids in the woods. He is so cut .Black Bears are more for eating berrys and roots and bird seed. They are usurally not meat eaters unless they are real hungary. At least that is what I was told.
Great shots of him, Elaine. I hope they find his mother so they can be together.
Great shots. That little cub is growing up and really should find his own territory away from people.
Beautiful pictures Elaine. I hope he found his mother and doesn't come back.

SO adorable!
he is so adorable!! I hope he is safe now
It is scary but he is so darn cute! Don't ya wish you could keep him as a pet?
He looks so cute though...although we know they can become very destructive! I just have such a soft spot myself for most animals!! I never want to see them put down unless they are deathly sick or injured beyond repair!!
The only place I've ever seen bears was in Alaska, brown bears, polar bears, very cool photos Elaine!
Hi Gunger,Thanks for stopping by to see the bear cub.Black bears are not as dangerous as the ones you've seen.

Thanks for stopping by to see the bear cub
A wonderful essay~
Beautiful Elaine! Reminds me of my honeymoon back in '68! We were traveling down the Blue Ridge Parkway and met up with a mama bear and her cub at a rest stop. My new husband got a little too close and the mama hissed like a cat an gave a little charge, making him step back. We joke of it often, of how I was almost a widow on our honeymoon!
Thanks for stopping by to see the bear cub.I'm glad your hubby was smart enough to hiss. They sound like hissing when they talk.He probably thought your hubby was a mean bear...lol
we had one come into our camp site in NH 2 yrs ago.......very scary!
