I have that problem ever once and a while. I just go to another post and then back. It usually fixes the problem. I'll have to try F5 and see if that works faster.
are you on a Mac? I have a laptop, an iBook. With Safari the same thing happens to me... the circle. That's why I thought maybe you had a Mac. They say that you are limited on Safari. I can read and surf Gather, but I can't post anything. I am trying to download FireFox, but I need an earlier edition that I haven't been able to find. When I want to go on Gather, I have to use my PC, which stinks. I got the laptop so I can portable. Oh well, I will find a way. :)

usually (sadly not always) F5 will clear it up.
What everyone else said. I've had this problem since the upgrade. Sometimes I have to refresh three or four times before the comment box is available.

it's been doing that to me every once in a while....I hit refresh then it comes faster
A loading problem since the upgrade for me too. I just have to forget that comment and go to the next one.
