She Saw Stars
Betsy sewed the flag by firelight, a rush order for the revolution "Just some quick red and white stripes please" Benjamin had implored. Suddenly there was a flash and a shirtless, sculpted man in rough blue trousers appeared.
Before Betsy could react, the young man knelt at her feet "You are the most beautiful woman I've ever met!" he gasped and taking her face in his hands kissed her like she'd never been kissed. He disappeared in another flash. The sparkles in her eyes inspired Betsy to add a dark blue field with circling stars to the new nation's flag.

Love that title too :-)
So THAT's how it happened...!
Thanks folks! It is soooo hard to do a whole story WITH a genre WITH constraints :)
