It was love. Love, love, love, love, love! It was purple passion seen through rose-colored glasses. It was hot lust for a stone cold hunk. It was love at first sight, at first bite, at first glance across a crowded room. It was that little rosy-cheeked Cupid in his Valentine’s Day best with an arrow in his bow and a quiver in his quiver.. It was Luurvve. It was Harlequin Romance on the Holodeck. It was lips and tongue and sweet, sweet roses. It was a great big chunk of Eve’s Apple. It was perfect.
And then… It was over.

hot lust for a stone cold hunk .... haaaaaaa!! LURVE indeed. I'm in lurv myself reading this.
I'm thankful that it happened again. And again...
"purple passion seen through rose-colored glasses." Aren't we clever! "Better to have loved and lost...." If it's going to be short, at least it can be intense. Right, Sarah?
I agree with Ron! BTW...I gave this it's first 10, probably while you were still writing it...LOL
I no longer have any arrows in my bow, but I've surely had my quiver all a-quiver!
Such an ending. But it was great for a while. Are you saying the new wore off.lol. It's a shame it has to end that way. I gave it a 10 too.
They all have to end that way. Even Byron thought so.
I'd give it a ten, but I never remember to rate anything, so I'm not going to scroll back and do it. However, if you get hit by DB trolls, give a holler and I'll come help fix it.
It was lips and tongue and sweet, sweet roses.
That being said, I think you pretty well summed it up. And then it was over.
That was a fun and interesting way to write the world's shortest love story. Very clever.
Am I wrong to be thinking Susan and Donald Sutherland's Creamery here? Mmmm...
But, damn I lust for them, too... I never spend less than 18 bucks everytime I visit their place... and that's just for 2 simple cones!!!
There's no such thing as a simple cone....
I think that's why they charge me so much... I keep wanting more junk into the mix.
My friend Hannah once remarked, on the occasion of ordering her second hot fudge sundae... After pleasure there is more pleasure.
Reminiscent of the D. Parker poem that ends with "I thought that he was tall."
Sounds like my life.
Mine, too. I've decided my epitaph will be:
It was fun while it lasted!
"When I am gone, you'll find it hard, to ever find another man like me."
"What makes you think, as I suppose you do, I'd ever want another man like you?"
(Is that Dorothy Parker?)
You mean it was just one time, oh gosh, a wonder the earth ever populated, great take, love it.
This was more a distillation - like the millions of flowers that go into an ounce of perfume.
That was great!
Hard not to love something so passionate and purpley
Life's a bitch, ain't it...
Not to hear some people tell it. They have a different candidate in mind...
