Los Baños

I took a bus from Manila to Los Baños, “Special Science and Nature City of the Philippines”.

  (Dân Philippine thì quả quyết yêu cầu chính phủ dành trọn quả đồi để xây dựng Los Baños thành “Special University Zone”, trong khi dân VN mình thì phải để chính phủ la hét ỏm tỏi mới chịu di dời để xây dựng làng đại học Thủ Đức từng bước một !!!)

Take a break near the football yard at UP.

Los Baños hosts the University of Philippine - UP (the most famous university in Phil.) with other foreign and local and international research centers, such as the International Rice Research Institute, the ASEAN Center for Biodiveristy, the Philippine Rice Research Institute,etc making the town crowded with tens of thousands of undergraduate and graduate students, researchers.

 By chance, I was invited to birthday party of this UP student.

These guys were very friendly. They asked me to eat this food, drink that fruit-juice continuously.

(Nhưng tớ từ chối một cách nhã nhặn là tớ còn no quá không ăn nổi một miếng nào nữa. Thật chứ thấy các bạn ấy cứ bốc tay ăn ầm ầm mà hoảng quá ! Mấy cái này tế nhị, k dám thò tay gõ tiếng Ăng-lê !)

The way they welcomed me made a stranger like me not have feeling of being like a fish out of water anymore. It was so funny that two Islamic girls next to me talked to me about many topics but they still thought that I was Japanese till I said goodbye them and reminded I was Vietnamese.

This “Agriculture, Forestry, and Life Sciences Community" lies on the northern slopes of the long dormant volcano Mount Makiling, is known among tourists for its hot spring resorts.

The hot underground water is linked to these pools.

It’s so strange that most of people here just gather together at every midnight to wallow in hot underground water. After preserving at hot spring resort, walking on completely deserted street at midnight and smell the fresh air, the life at that time was totally light as in the immortals !
