I saw this one all by myself last night! I did have two tickets but my daughter backed out at the last minute opting to study for her finals instead!!
The movie is set in Greece. Georgia (Nia Vardalos) lost her job at the university in Greece and now is a tour guide. Her boss gives her all the changelling tourists while Nico gets all the easier ones.
The movie is set over four days touring Greece and the scenery was beautiful..especially for me...I love historical sites. The group members all have some sort of issue that seems to be helped during this tour. Irv (Richard Dreyfus) seems to have some mystical effect and helps many of the others in the group. He really doesn't have any powers but his funny jokes(or not so funny) and mannerisms shows others how to enjoy life.
Then there is the romance ...and whew...lucky Georgia..I will say no more!!
I enjoyed this movie. It is a chick flick, it is a date movie, is was a nice release from reality. There was a scene where I had tears in my eyes..I liked this movie..thumbs up from me...
