Not much to report in my journey towards better health today. I gave in to temptation and went to McDonald's for lunch. But I ordered a small fry instead of my usual medium! LOL
I drank 48 ounces of water today, which is pretty good for me. I'm still shooting for a goal of 100+ ounces daily eventually.
I did a little extra walking at work, and threw a few squats in every hour when I had a chance. I know this sounds silly, but I've started doing 10-15 squats when I go to the bathroom, because nobody will see me in there and wonder what in the world I am doing.
I went out for a beer after work, and decided not to get a deep-fried appetizer. I just had my one beer, and that's it.
How did you do today? Don't forget to share your tips and accomplishments at Better Health Blog!

You are doing well, I have been in bed all day due to an allergic reaction.
great job!
This is wonderful to read. Here's why:
The decision to order the smaller fry means more than the difference between ten or twenty ounces of fries.
It means that Decision has won a battle over WANT!!!
Your squats might mean squat to a serious exercise type but your exercise method and the fact of CHOOSING TO DO IT is HUGE good news. Here's why:
Most folks never consider the possibility of doing a piece of exercise HERE and another piece THERE. Some folks believe you work at work and exercise elsewhere.
WRONG!!!
A body in motion will stay in motion and serve the wearer well.
A body at rest, but not needing rest, will cause its bearer to die, too young.
i just wish i could go to micky D"S
It's not all it's cracked up to be! It's only 3 minutes from work, so I go there waaaay too often.
Awesome Job !!!! "WTG"
Well I Only Drank 20 oz of water yesterday;Really Tried to Stay Moving and Active in My Daily Routine
Way to go...cutting back is good! I took a smaller helping of tuna noodle for dinner tonight.
You're doing well. There is a big difference between a small fry and medium. I know when I'm trying to eat better sometimes I have to splurge and eat something like McD's because if I don't then I tend to go back to my old habits of eating extremely unhealthy.
Good try anyway Jodie!
baby steps are good!
My daughter has a college class two nights a week and since she isn't old enough to drive, I have to take her. It's a half hour from home, so I just stay there. I've been walking around the campus while she is in class. Last week it was a half hour and last night I did about 50 minutes.
A great way to take advantage of the opportunity! So much better than sitting around bored. Nice!
Sounds good! I need to get a better routine going for myself.
Good job! I do squats when I dry my hair!
GREAT IDEA!! I could do that too!
sounds like you did a great job.
You are doing great! I'm back to eating a little bit healthier this week. Last week my food intake was awful. We went out to eat 4 times while my sister was here last week and again on Sunday since we had to go shopping (we almost always eat out when we shop, since it's a 45 minute trip each way, and we generally go to several different stores, so just eating before doesn't do any good).
You're getting back on track, Carla. That's what counts. You haven't given up. Sometimes eating out a lot happens ... try focusing on any choices you can make at the restaurant that are at least a little healthier than what you are craving.
Good job, Jodie, keep it up. I love the part you do the squats in the bathroom :) My goal is "tie" myself on the treatmill for 1 hour, drink lot of water, and walk several steps at work :) When I go to McDonald, I always order a fish sandwich, but the good part is I'm rarely to go there :)
Those are great goals! Next time I go to the gym, I'm hoping I can survive 10 minutes on the elliptical without dying, LOL.
Sounds like your doing good, i spent the day keeping the kids busy, digging and planting, they love being my helpers. We got all our work completed before the rain. I really did not stick to my water challange today. I had Turkey Hill green tea all day and am presently having my first cup of coffee for the day.
Running around after kids definitely burns calories!
don't forget the wild blueberry juice, just adding 2 ounces per day can help with antioxidants and all kinds of stuff, Wyman's is a good brand
BLUEBERRIES!! MORE BLUEBERRIES!!
America should dump its ruined currency and we should do all trade with BLUEBERRIES!!
Then Embezzeling would TASTE GOOD!!!
LOL!
I need better health. Yeah blueberries are good for you!
Blueberries are VERY good, but they tend to be pretty expensive too. I like mixed berries - strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries.
We all need to remember even the small steps are steps taken in the right direction.
I have been eating a salad with dinner. My lunch has been low-fat cottege cheese and fresh fruit. I'm trying, I think that's the important thing.
