Images unfold before her kaleidoscope eyes.
Memories flash in an instant; Mother, wife, sister, friend.
Simultaneous thoughts meld into one dream
of grandchildren, flowers, weddings, holidays,
and pride for her country.
She pictures herself happy; dancing with the moon,
laughing until she cries, running with the wind.
She follows the path of pink candy clouds and clear azure skies
under the bridge to eternity.
She imagines herself aboard a Fairy Boat
on the Shrine River sailing yonder.
Her train is heading into the stratosphere.
She returns to yesterday in the diamond sky
while those on Earth who love her cry.

Very Good. Great imagery
Very nice, Jenn. I hope it's some comfort to Angela at this difficult time.
Thank you both! I do hope that it lifts her spirits even if it's just a tiny bit.
Very touching. I also hope it brings Angela some comfort. My heart goes out to her.
Mine too, Linda. Thank you.
I wish there was something we could do.
Thanks dear for trying. I'm still just really raw right now.
Hugs, A.

Thank you, Angie. No worries, girl. I appreciate you coming by anytime. I'm not even supposed to be here for a week (on a gather break-lol).
Beautiful poem!
Thank you so much, my friend. Enjoy your day!
This is like a collage of images. Beautifully basted.
Alien blood

Quite vivid...
Thank you, Sandra!
This is a beautiful poem.
Thank you, Shelbia!
I don't know the circumstances, but this is fine example of poetry as a gift (poetry is practical!). You do use the kaleidescope imagery perfectly, and the rest of the imagery is vivid. The opposition in the last two lines balances just right with the end rhyme. A great present for a well-lived past.
Thank you, Chris! I am so pleased by your comment tonight.
sniff, sniff, I don't know what to say, speechless (in a good way)
You give colorful swirling images to paint your admiration of a friend, who is justly deserving.
so lovely
HUGS ~
