The words 'Nous ne sommes pas seuls' or 'We are not alone' will be somberly pronounced this week by a senior Government official of the nation that brought the world 'Liberté, égalité, fraternité'. France is set to concede that it is aware of an alien presence on earth by no later than Friday.
Paris has chosen follow the lead of maverick UFO nation Brazil and resist US pressure to continue delaying disclosure until America feels it is ready for the event.
It is believed that a telephone hot-line has been set up in Paris to deal with queries from panicky citizens. A special division of France's police department is also to be established: to handle UFO reports.
The French have gone to so much effort to protect their culture from encroaching 'Anglo-Saxon' influences and now they are preparing to protect their culture from what might be even more powerful extraterrestrial forces.
It is believed Holland and Germany are set to soon follow France's lead.

Interesting, and I don't think any of us is alone either. I don't think the french would freak out, but americans probably would; if someone in our government made such a announcement- americans panic so damn easily
Actually, I think that the majority of Americans are a lot more psychologically mature and sophisticated than what their government gives them credit for. It's probably time "Big Brother" allowed the people a little more independence.

It has been my experience that the general government thinks the general population are ignorant hicks, but in all reality, I think its general BS! Psychologically mature? Maybe not. Understanding that we are NOT alone, perhaps. Dealing with the reality, no problem!

This was dated June 7th. I never heard anything on the news about their release, did you?
I would think that in this climate of government secrecy, any of the major news syndicates are somewhat "gagged". Even here in Canada I haven't heard anything from the regular media. But with family, emails, sleep and Gather, who has time to listen to the news? I got the notice through one of my regular UFO newsletters today.

I used to listen to "coast to coast" all the time when I worked at night. I'm sure there would be a lot of people in the U.S, who also would be very interested in the evidence of UFO's; maybe more than I expect even.
Well Ellen, I imagine "Coast to Coast" would of been cancelled long ago if their audience wasn't huge.
Tone, it would answer a lot of questions. However, I don't see the governments of the U.S., Canada or the U.K. releasing Everything they have on the subject. There's potentially far too many military / monetary secrets.

Sure there's probably a good many of them created by "hoaxters" but, so many are so large, intricate and precisely done that there is no possible way that they could be created by 2, 4 or even 6 people accurately, in the dark and with no screw-ups. Keeping in mind that the more people involved, the bigger the chances of leaving inaccuracies or traces of their presence.
The secrets I'd be really interested in knowing is how they manage to weave the wheat stalks and how they create the anomalous radio / magnetic readings.
Quite honestly though, I think that they are created by alien teenagers, out joyriding in daddy's flying saucer for the night, sharing a case of Ambrosia. Then, just to get the attention of we simple humans, leaving their form of graffiti all over the countryside.

As far as answering your question, I don't think mass hysteria will ensure. Judging by what's been going on lately and occasions where I've thought the American people should be more up in arms about current events, not going to happen. Too apathetic? I'm not sure what's going on here these days, but no one seems to care too much about what's going on as long as it doesn't affect their ability to buy the latest Wii game or watch American Idol. Oops. I'll go hide now and keep my mouth shut.

You're right Gwen, there's been far too much video evidence and witness statements from serious minded people with nothing to gain by coming forward. Sure, there's a lot of misidentification, aircraft, chinese lanterns, satellites, the space station and "swamp gas" but, when the astronauts are reporting sightings of spacecraft........not of this earth, then it's time we started demanding answers. After all, isn't the government elected to serve the people, not to keep secrets from them?

NASA discontinued any and all live video from all space missions. Why? Because "things" were showing up in the background and people were asking questions! There is a documentary out that discusses this and has interviews with several astronauts. VERY interesting!

I have alwasy thought that Hollywood plays a big role in this "getting us ready" idea with all the movies about aliens and such.
Independence day, War of the Worlds, Men in Black, and alot more that seem to be technically correct in ways that didnt need to be.
After all, the National Enquirer IS the hottest alien gazette around!
All kidding aside, some movies have been way too technical and on the mark with their uneeded info on certain things.
NASA has even consulted on a few box office hits.

That's something that I've considered, off and on. I kind of like the idea of humans from the future, doing an "archaeological" study of us. Or even future students studying history, live.
As for a parallel universe, that's just silly. LOL Really though Gary, that theory is just as feasible as any of the other ideas that float around. I've got a pretty involved theory about parallel universes and how their existence could go a long way in explaining not only our "UFOs" but the mysteries of cryptozoology and the so called paranormal as well.

Yep, you are thinking along the same lines as me.
If you know much about radio, you know how waves interact by resonance. THAT could be whats happening with UFO's, just resonnant fluctuations between the 2 causing rifts or "noise". Kinda like resonant imaging of a sorts.
Yeah, probably works best with Aurora Borealis.

I JUST watched a documentary about secret KGB files about alien abduction and a secret tomb discovered in Egypt. They have reason to believe taht the mummy in that tomb was not human. but was known to the ancient egyptians as Osiris! Lots more info than i had expected.

Man, I love this. I want you to see one I just wrote about the dark night creature. This guy Zach is probably one of the most convincing people I have ever heard tell of such events. I heard the same report on Coast to Coast two years ago. I'm a skeptic.
Yeah, over the last few years, files from different countries have been released, albeit ever so quietly. Even here in Canada, they've made files accessible from the '40s up to '89. I don't know why the last 20 years should be kept locked up.

I just received an email this week from Dr. Steven Greer of The Disclosure Project (http://www.disclosureproject.org) in which he states that disclosure in imminent - before the end of the year. He says the president, who has already alotted a 2-hour time slot on television is expected to reveal that extraterrestrials are already on earth and have been for some time. He is expected to say that "most" of the extraterrestrials with whom the government has been in contact are friendly. There is much more to this, so go to the site to learn more.
A few other prominent folks in the UFO field are basically saying the same thing, so we shall see. I don't think people will panic. Actually, I think people will be downright angry that they have been lied to for so long and they'll have many, many questions that will demand answers.
