BORACAY (3) - Attraction

Philippine, the country of 1000 islands, is well-known with export seafood and musicans, especially guys singing with guitar and drum at every bar. Wanna see and enjoy with me by all of your senses ?

I had chance to enjoy the delicious and very cheap seafood at Boracay - one of 1000 islands. Just pay 200 peso (around 4usd), let eat as much as you can.

I was so surprised at the moment I set food in this island. The community of travelers is so diversified by American, Mexican, Spanish, French, Germany, Swiss, Japanese, Korean, etc. Therefore, there are many kind of foods satisfied the most fastidious person like me.

Try Mexican food and San Miguel Beer for dinner.

Or have Extragavanza at Nigi Nigi Nu Noos Bar

I came to this bar every morning. Mostly after leaving this bar, I was too full to have lunch, and then I can save money to have luxury dinner again.

People here are very kind. Even you just buy a small thing with cheap price, they also serve you considerately. For example in this fast food shop, the owners asked me many questions and guide me many things to enjoy Boracay since I came here just to buy a very small pancake.

The life here is very eventful with many leisure activities.

Someone is swimming, someone is sailing, and someone plays sea-sports like windsurfing, kite surfing or diving.

They are playing with Banana boat. All players take a seat on this banaba boat and a canoe drag it by a rope.

Many people here play these tools. You know what is it?

This is aerobic show of a Nest café group.

This group is going to start a new game.

Some couples occupy space for their own leisure. This island is an ideal land for couple in honeymoon, I think.

The night life is even more animated. Travelers enjoy food and live music till 2am or 3am. You can show your hot body with everyone all day without any shyness.

Or if you feel tired after a trip around the islands, you pay 200 peso and ask for some lady massage for one hour on the beach. Very comfortable!

Tourist industry in Boracay Island is well organized by local people. There’s no confusion in shops arrangement.

But you almost must negotiate when you buy everything. This is the most inconvenient thing I have here. When will I get thing that its real value matches its price?

Native people in this pacific island are creative in their handmade product. When you wear a wooden bracelet or a real pearl earring, they would talk to you by Catalog language (the national language of Philippine) instead of English because you really look like Filipino at that time!

I thought attitude and culture of local people show essence of their country. Filipino mostly is good-natured and kind. Even organisms here are nice; otherwise, that big sea snake would bite me! huhu

I was impressed especially by some guys here. The way they talked to me was sincere, honest and sweet. Before coming here, I was a little bit self-conscious to talk to Muslim or some other religionist. But now, I can face to face and start a conversation normally with Muslim. From now on, I feel free to communicate with many kind of people, except for some people that hurts me.

You see this skillful guy acts some decorations on a small blue stone. I bought this lucly stone for my younger brother to wish he pass next examinations well !

Or this man who makes all of these boats by himself looks like a pirate. He said that he highly appreciated all compliments I gave to, that I made him proud of his work and money is not important anymore. As for me, the most important thing was that he discounted for me since I bought this boat. hehe

I had chance to discuss with one of my Japanese friends about basic architecture of house of different countries he spent. And this time, I had opportunity to observe by my eyes how architecture of a pacific island is. Decoration is showy and it represents the veneration of resident to the Sea Soul.

This is a proof of Asian conception about the science of winds and waters. You can see many small streams inside most of houses, restaurants or villas here.

However, it’s a pity that the traffic here makes the air polluted although Philippine has a good education about safety environment. They use gas and oil unreasonable for these old transportations.
