Please note: this isn't intended to be political. Don't bash me for writing about the President. This is only an observation!
A few nights ago Brian Williams of NBC News visited President Obama and his family in the White House and chronicled some of how they're settling into to their humble abode.
I was struck by the down-to-earth appeal of a few of the things I witnessed on this program, but most especially by the President's acknowledging responsibility for the family's new puppy.
He talked about how he is the last puppy walker of the day...taking the beautiful Portuguese Water Dog out for his final stroll each evening. And he also said he...and I quote..."picks up poop."
I found it a bit unusual that the President of the United States picks up his own dog poop. I think I admire that.
I know....it's a little sad that I'm almost enthralled by that notion, but we all have to amuse ourselves somehow and this really struck me as humble and down-to-earth.
What do you think about the President's poop-picking activities?
