After having my Rubik's cube lay around unsolved for many years, I finally decide to take it apart and rebuild it, LOL. I always wondered how it worked inside anyway. I have never been able to get more than one side correct. I'm going to look up info online how to really solve the puzzle.
Have you solved the Rubik's cube?

I have not solved the darn thing, but I haven't tried in years.
My father and my son have (the right way)--I have not, except by the easy way (move the stickers).
I don't have the patience for Rubik's cubes.
No. My brother finally took his apart and put it back together the right way, too.
Yes, there is a formula and once you know the formula, you can solve it every time and impress your friends with how smart you are. A firend of mine showed me how, I didn't figure it out on my own like the guy in the movie "The Pursuit of Happiness".
Great movie. I forgot about that part!
Ugh. No. I hate them. They cheat. When I turn my head to yell about how close I am getting, the stickers move. I swear they do. >.<
I knew a guy once who could solve it in about 2 minutes. I don't understand. lol
I've never solved the whole thing, but many years ago I got 2 sides at a time a couple of times. I used to love my Rubik's cube! 10
I have but it took me a while :) Speaking of the Cube, the twins (now 3 years old) just found my stepsons laying around and informed me they wanted one. After watching them play with it a while, I have decided a Cube will be one of their birthday gifts come September.
You did do it???? WOW! Congrats!
Look up Dan Brown on youtube he tought me how to solve my rubiks cube.
Wow...my exhubby and I used to have one when they first came out in he 80's...it came with a book that showed you the moves to solve it easily...and we got those moves down and memorized them so that we could solve it in 8 seconds...it was awesome! Gosh, I haven't picked one up since 1989!!! I am ancient! LOL
It is actually a series of moves, (it's mathematical) and you just do the moves no matter how messed up it is, it will come back to the original...it's cool! I on't know if the books (pamphlets) are available anymore though.
8 seconds is really good- I think the record is only 7.08 seconds!
Someday I hope to learn to solve it but my cube is old and the stickers have started fading, I should get a new one.
It would be interesting if you could sovle a cube after a 20 year break, lol.
nope
yes, I solved it a long time ago when I was little
Cool, congrats on that accomplishment.
