Cool - thanks!
I was all excited about this until I read that it's photos of 'your children cooking'. This I can't do. But it's a wonderful promotion for those that can.
Me too. Does anyone have any kids I can borrow???
i have a few you can HAVE!! lol :)
I have a few kids to loan out!
But they are older and probably wouldn't appreciate a toddler cookbook - but they do both enjoy cooking!
Can't wait to see the entries.
sounds like fun~ thanks!
Oh how neat.
I'm sure everyone will have fun with this one. =)
very interesting, thanks
There are also books like 'Deceptively Delicious' and 'The Sneaky Chef' that help teach kids and parents about nutrition and provide tons of GREAT recipies that are actually 'healthy foods in disguise'.
Check them out here:
Barnes and Noble
Child nutrition -or lack there of- has become a growing problem in the US and the world. I hope there will be more and more books of this kind. There are also some DVD's and games I found that can help kids learn how to eat right and stay healthy.
Hmm...might be time to do some cooking!
My kids love to cook, I just need to take a picture of them in action :-)
thank you!
sounds like a good activity.
This is so timely. My son is signed up for a cooking class at his pre-school this summer. He loves to bake with me, I'll come up with something we can make together!
Great idea especially since school is out
ooo we should get some interesting post with this one....I can't wait!!
Great contest, but think you all will disqualify my daughter, as she is 21. I call her my child, but she is an adult. Good luck to everyone.
I wish everyone luck. I also think my girls are a bit too old. It sounds like a great contest and I wish everyone the best of luck.
Looks like fun!
thanks
Does it count when your child is 54 years old?
;-)
LOL@Sonia
Our kids are grown up too.
Looks like a fun contest.
oo- so much fun- thanks
Challenge accepted, I will figure out what we can make together.
Oh wow this is a really cute photo opt.
Hi all, I know that this contest is somewhat limited since the we're asking for photos of kids. However, through this giveaway, we want those of a young age (age 0 to 18) to develop cooking and baking skills.
Don't worry, we'll have more contests across Gather for kids of all ages (0 to 99+)! ; )
My 16 year old does some cooking, but the trouble is he won't let me take pix of him where his face shows, so it still won't work for me. Lol. Teens ARRRRGG. Have fun all who will enter. I look forward to the pictures that are entered.
Not a problem. If he's shy that's OK! We'll trust that photos submitted are of your kids (infants to teens).
I'll see if he'll let me catch at least his hands when he's in there fixing himself something. Since he's not in school, it's only about a dozen times a day he's in the kitchen getting something, so it shouldn't be too hard!
Can this be in the form of a photo essay?
I was wondering the same thing--photo essays are so much easier for me.
You bet! I just made an edit to the post. You can submit photos or photo essays.
Excellent! Thanks Stefanie!
I'll try this if my son will cooperate!! He gets in the mood to help cook sometimes. He does like cooking on the grill. Also, he likes to use the electrical gadgets. THANKS for the opportunity!!
Awww what a cute contest! Too bad I don't have any kids, and I guess furkids wouldn't count. I look forward to seeing everyone else's entries though. :)
Guess little missy and I will have to be doing some cooking here soon.
My "kids" aren't really the types to cook. The lack of opposable thumbs somewhat hampers their efforts in the kitchen. They are good little supervisors, though.
could be a lot of fun!
too bad I live so far from my niece. this would have been a fun project to do with her.
Sounds like fun
This looks like it would be a fun book. The children i watch love when i involve them in baking or cooking. I try and get some cooking fun in on rainy days. This morning with my supervision i let them make waffles. They enjoy mixing and pouring the batter. The little one got to sprinkle all the plates of waffles with powdered sugar and add some blueberries to the batter.
Sounds like some awesome activities!
My baby is 25, so I can't do it either.
Wonderful books, I will see what I can come up with.
My son isn't big on helping me in the kitchen, except for the Bubble Loaf that i make to eat with pasta and sometimes he likes to chop garlic with the Hand Chopper. I'll see what i can do.
I will have to go through my photos. I would love this. My kids love to cook
Fun!
alas i too cant do this one i love to cook and i do collect recipie books but good luck to those of you who can enter i am so jelouse
Sounds cool
It should be fun to see the contestants! I love encouraging little ones to help in the kitchen :)
Have fun parents!
My kids love to help me cook in the kitchen.
I would like to do this, but again I'm not sure about posting my kids pics online.
QUESTION: Since members must pay taxes on the value of most prizes received from Gather, are only U.S. residents eligible to receive the book prize pack?
Thank you.
That's so cool.
I'm surprised only 4 people participated in this. I enjoyed the photo essays, they were great!
The person drawn to receive a prize pack of Annabel Karmel's books and 500 Gather Points is Renee (Pres of Baby James Foundation) ~.!
As Bridget mentioned, only a few people posted, but there were some really nice photos and photo essays submitted. Please take a moment to check them all out.
Congratulations Renee!
CONGRATS Renee!
I really enjoyed looking at the photo essays and photos. We have some great little cooks out there! :)
Congratulations! Enjoy your prize.
Thank you!
Congrats on your win.
