I currently work at a photo place (which I will not name to keep my job) and I have a costumer that drives me up the wall. I call her The Obama lady. The other day I was working with my manager when I saw The Obama lady pull in I turned to my manager and said “I’m going in the back YOU deal with the Obama lady."
Then I fled. Ran like a little girl to the back area, and waited. . . and waited. . . and after a decent amount of time passed I heard what I thought was the ding of the door as she left the store.
I was wrong.
When I came out there she was chatting away as she told my manager how wonderful it was that Obama had finally appointed a woman to the Supreme Court. The first ever, I fled to the back to avoid my head exploding or my mouth yelling “Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sandra Day O'Connor. . .”
I later enlightened my manager the tale of The Obama lady. . . I will retell it for you.
The day after the election she first appeared and was so happy that a black man was now president.
No I corrected he was elected but will not take office until the inauguration some time in January.
“No silly” she said in a condescending tone that implied I was lacking in my education “he won the election, he is president.” This visit I managed to shut my mouth and ring her out. Thinking to myself it was going to be a long day, I had no idea.
The next time she graced our presence was to pick up her photos, and wouldn’t you know it but “look how effective Obama is he has already lowered the gas prices! What a wonderful president!” The Obama lady said. NEVERMIND Obama was still not officially our commander in chief!!!
Her now regular visits are peppered with these wonderful comments that make me want to scream, “Take a high school government class!!!”
There is, unfortunately, no end to this tale but I promise to up date you on the latest foolishness of The Obama lady. . .

I can understand your annoyance and frustration with her.
I am so glad I don't have to deal with walk in customers - face to face. I would not have been able to show the restraint you managed to show. I would have probably said something to the tune of "COME ON LADY GET EDUCATED!" sheesh!
I wouldn't correct her... Instead, I would just sit back, enjoy the ride (humor), and let the rest of the world so the same. Folks like this don't understand reason.
This eerily reminds me of Jaywalking on the, now nonexistent, Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Except this is the same person, constantly. Reading this post made me laugh, although I definitely understand your frustration. You just cast it so humorously, I love it. Thanks for posting!
It's the uninformed electorate that has gotten us into this mess. Let's hope they become informed soon. The trouble is that they will probably not pay much attention until they are harmed by the policies of the Obama administration. At the rate this administration is moving, it could be sooner rather than later.
We get those folks at work, too. You can almost hear a chorus of angelic voices singing in the background as, each time the gas price drops, he lowered it. Funny, whenever it goes up, it's the greedy oil companies, but when it goes down, it's the president.
Love this!!! This is another example of the crazyness of some people. I think it was Walter Mathow who said "99% of people are stupid and the other 1% of us are in danger of infection!"
*rolls eyes* I am not going to address this because I am this if you can't say anything nice kick, although what I have to say it not mean so I guess it should say - If you can't say anything without stressin yourself out.... - yea that's better. In short I was going to say - I've never heard anyone, anyone blame the gas prices on Obama. My advice talk to more educated people and ignore those who aren't.
Now to the article - I'd just ignore her she is happy believing it, we all need a little happiness somehow you know? Try to change the subject ask if she has kids or grandkids ect... you never know she might be a cool lady who just needs a government lesson. If not then I agree laugh in your head.
