Okay, smarty pants people. LOL. Here is another one that is hopefully a little harder than the last one. BTW, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
What in the world is it?

Please post your guesses here and not on the individual picture page. I don't want to miss any guesses.

I'm staring and staring and staring, but it's giving me nothing. Zilch. I have absolutely no idea what this is!
LOL, Michelle. Watch the hints or extra pictures that I might give and you might just get it yet.
Looks like some kind of parking brake mechanism.
Great guess, BLL! You are soooo close. It is a brake mechanism of some sort.
Part of a medieval instrument of torture. The rack?
Hi Alison. I guess it could be used as an instrument of torture if the recipient of the torture was afraid of heights.
I have no idea!
The inside gears in a watch.
The inside gears in a windup clock.
A can opener?
i was thinking the same thing
Hi D. As Mom still says-"great minds think alike". LOL
yup, or i am hungry..lol
Seat belt ratchet?
Gears on the hand brake for a four wheeler or bike.
Tie-down gear to keep stuff on your ATV?
Gears on a bike or four wheeler
hmm, something on a bike?? gears maybe?
I see the gear, too, and in the upper left hand corner what might serve as a braking mechanism, and on the right side of the pic it could be a wheel, so Lee might be headed down the right direction with her guess.
You're right, the bar in the upper left hand corner is part of the braking mechanism. The bar is there so that you can set the brake with your foot rather than bend over to ground level to do it.
I was thinking a can opener, too.
Few know how much Toni V loves coffee. She loves it almost as much as her favorite hair salon. This is a macro shot of her grind the cooffee bean to the last drop coffee grinding machine. Unfortunately, these machines were recalled to have a warning label affixed about coffee addiction, but this machine was never returned and still churns out a variety of Arizona blends.
LOL, William. This actually doesn't have anything to do with food, unless you needed a lift up into an apple or orange tree.
So it's owned by 9 out of 10 fruit tree owners eh?
No fair!! Vern took MINE! AAAAAaaaaaRRRRggggGGGGHHHHHH!
Aww, Jean, you can have it back.....(Toni doesn't seem to mind when we duplicate guesses. Especially when the guess is wrong. lol
LOL. Of course I don't mind duplicate guesses.
I was thinking part of vern spaceship LOL
good answer
No clue
I don't have a clue, but it could use a lube job.
All I can think of after your hight hint is a pump jack or some sort of winch/hoist break.
Hmmm...I don't know! I bet my husband would though, but if I asked him I would be treated to an anecdote.
Okay everyone. I'm going to post another picture that might help a little bit. I honestly don't think I have a picture of the whole thing. This item is used to elevate workers when a home or other building is being constructed. Now, with that hint, someone should get it really quick. LOL.
scaffolding.
Well, shoot - I'm looking at it and still don't know what it's called. Does it have a name? Maybe wheel break?
Blind Lady Liberty takes the bragging rights! Yes it's a locking mechanism on scaffolding! Yay Liberty!!!! Anyone who said it was a brake can also have bragging rights. At least I know this one was harder than the last one. GOTCHA!!!! Thank everyone, you make this so much fun!
Well if you hadn't posted the new picture and just the hint: "This item is used to elevate workers when a home or other building is being constructed." I would still be stuck on the pump jacks.
YAY, Blind Lady Liberty!
................and little yays for all of us guessing brakes............yay, yay, yay
HooRah! for BLL! yay for brakes!
I never would have guessed.
Ah, very clever.
