Had a few stops to make this week. I went and checked out a local produce stand this weekend so most of my produce was purchased there - Can't remember what all I got, but I spent just over $10 and got TONS of produce for the week - strawberries, honeydew, pineapple, pears, oranges. Prices were not a huge difference from Publix, but every little bit helps.
Acronyms:
MC- Manufacturer Coupon
SC - Store Coupon
BOGO - Buy One Get one free
Then today I hit BJ's Wholesale club and got
1 50-pk Frito Lay's snack packs - $10.69 less $1 MC
1 large pack of Perdue Chicken Thighs - $0.99/lb less $1 MC, $8.46
2 20-oz pepsi - shopping is thirsty work! lol, $1.29 each
1 HUGE bag Chex Mix - $5.99 less $0.50 MC
1 variety pack of BJ's soda - FREE ($4.99 off) with purchase of Chex mix
1 Salsa - $5.99 (this is a big bottle)

Now Costco:
1 Pkg Rice Crackers - $7.79
2 2lb packages of cheddar cheese - $4.55 each (these are over $6 at BJ's!)
1 pkg Veggie Straws (we were really low on snack food!) - $5.39
1 pkg Spinach Raviolis - $9.89
1 5lb pkg shredded cheddar $9.75 (cheaper to buy shredded than block!)
And of course Costco doesn't take coupons unless it's their own, so total was $41.92
Now Publix:
15 cans of Kids Campbells Soup - On sale for $1 each less 3 MC for $0.50/5, so $0.90 each
2 Breyer's ice cream - BOGO for $4.99 less $1/2 MC so $2 each

16 boxes of South Beach Living Granola Bars FREE!!! - on sale as BOGO for $2.99, less 16 MC for $1.50 each, so they paid me $0.01 each to take them.
1 pkg organic romaine - $3.99 less SC for $1 off produce (Publix Baby Club)
1 Nature's Own Bread - $2.89 less MC for $2.69 (emailed them w/a problem on a product and they sent free coupons) - $0.20

1 pkg Success Rice - $2.39 less $1 MC
Smuckers Grape Jelly - sale for $1.99
Bottom Round Roast - on sale for $1.97/lb - $4.26
Receipt total before sales & coupons - $127.84
AFTER $42.99!!!!!
And better yet, several people were watching my total go down, down, down and wanted to know how much I saved. So, I had an opportunity to pass out a bunch of postcards about my book!
It's always nice when others are happy for your savings instead of being irritated that it took so long to scan the coupons!
Most of this shopping will last 2 weeks, so $161.35 for 2 weeks for a family of 4! Some will last longer, some less, so that's a pretty good average of my cost!

Great shopping... and an AWESOME way to advertise your book! I hit Publix today as well.. they are my favorite grocery store... SOOOOO coupon friendly!!
wow good going! I used to live in Fl and miss Publix subs they are the besT ! we dont have them here...
I will be jumping on those sale brownies at publix
What a great shopping trip.
yeah since the son left, we are about 100 for two week for 2 folks, I do spend over 50 in meats in the middle of the month yet that cover a whole month worth of meat. We get our meats from the Angel food ministry I love them
I have forgotten to order my Angel Food for the last couple of months! ARGH! I ordered for June but don't pick up til the end of the month. And I marked it in my email calendar so I don't forget again!
great job I am serioudly thinking about getting your book
great deals
Good marketing ploy. Wonder if you can write off some of the costs of shopping trips.
haha! I doubt it! Legally you can only write it off if it can't be done for any other purpose. So, if I went there SOLELY to promote I could write off mileage, but since I had to do my regular shopping anyway, I can't.....
Renita, you are amazing!
That's great. I wish we had a Publix in my area.
How great!! And great advertisement; plus I know you want that book out there so others can learn.
Exactly! I'm happiest when I know I am helping others! It's not all about the money (although I need that too! lol)
amazing shopping trip!

Wow...I think you'll be shopper of the week! Thanks for the details on the coupons.
