Not a liver lover :)
nope cant say that i like liver lol
I like Jewish style chopped chicken liver - and will get the appetizer version every time I pass Artie's Deli on Broadway near 83rd Street. It must have fried onions and some egg chopped in... MMMMM
I used to have a wonderful recipe for Indonesian chicken liver - with soy sauce and green beans - also MMMM
Liver is something I like, but it's not the best item to eat as it's the body's filtration system - it takes harmful substances out of the blood - not what I want to eat too frequently...LOL
NO!!!
No, I used to have to like it though, yuck~
No way Jose! LoL!
Oh yes, chicken liver is my favorite. I can eat it with eggs and ham I can eat it on a bus, on a train, anywhere I can eat liver I will eat liver! YUMMY
Oh boy...Green Eggs and Ham. My son has me read that book to him 3+ time a day! I dream Green Eggs and Ham and Cat in the Hat these days!
Oh yeah, both my kids love liver!
nogrossnoewww... ok.. no
Amy is a silly g@@se! Who eats liver with eggs and ham?
I love liver! Gotta have onions with it!
And catsup! Gotta have catsup on it
I enjoy liver but most over cook it which makes it tough and chewy.
NO!!!!
My mom loves it though. With all the onions on top, too.
Liver and onions with mashed potatos and gravy!!! Ok, now I am hungry!!
Yep give me tons of sweet caramelized onions on top and I'm there! ;)
Ewwww!
no!
But I cook it every week for others who LOVE it---with fried onions and gravy.
Chicken livers, that is....not beef or pork.
LOVE LOVE LOVE beef liver and onions!
also love pate
can't even stand the smell of it!
No way, can't stand the smell of it.
Love calf liver and onions ~ YEAH! But do not like the way it smells either. ;(
I don't know. I have never tried it.
That's a big fat no for me!
ummm, uhhhh, no thank you...no liver pleas~~ lol
Ummmm, nope!
As a youngster fried liver & onions was part of the weekly dinner fare at home with mom & dad. My dad loved beef liver Of course, my mom would make whatever my dad would enjoy for meals and we would have to eat it too. I thought it was "okay" back then. Better than some things my mom would make for my dad. As a young adult, out on my own & cooking for myself, I used thinner cuts of meat & sauted liver with onions & garlic or the carmelized onions and enjoyed it much better that way.
When I met my future husband and his wonderful father I was treated to dinner sometimes at "Dads" home where beef liver w/onions was served fairly often. I was also introduced to chicken livers which I really enjoy. They are the best! After we married my husband would stop by the neighborhood poultry shop weekly and bring home a 1 1/2 lb. bag of chicken livers for practically nothing which made for a real dinner time treat.
Years ago we became aware of the high cholesterol content of liver - any kind of liver - and backed off totally. The only time I might have it these days would be for a restaurant meal order. I believe that if one were to compare the good or bad health concerns of beef liver to chicken livers I would say chicken livers (despite the cholesterol issue) would be the best choice. Chickens, for the most part, would be grain fed and/or a free range diet consisting of organic/natural food.
I love liver in all shapes, forms, and styles. Fried (with or without onions). Chicken, goose or turkey. Pork or calf...it doesn't matter. I especially like it when I make rumaki:
Ingredients:- 1/2 pound chicken livers (30 chicken livers)
- 15 slices bacon, very thin, cut in half
- 1 can (8 ounces) sliced water chestnuts, drained
- 1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon five-spice powder or curry powder
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:Cut each chicken liver in half; stuff water chestnuts inside wrap with a slice of bacon and secure with toothpick. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Combine soy sauce and melted butter ginger and five-spice powder in a container large enough to accommodate the chicken livers. Add the chicken livers; turn to cover then marinate for several hours or overnight. Just before serving, sprinkle with salt and pepper and broil for about 5 minutes on each side.
Makes 30 appetizers.
i used to, so YES, but haven't had it in years and years so my taste buds might have changed (truly I cannot stand the look or feel of it before its cooked, its disgusting, so perhaps I wouldn't even try it these days :-(
I love liver but no one else in my family does. So I don't get it very often.
Mmmmm, oh yes! I love liver! Cow liver and chicken liver. It is sooo delicious!
once in a while.
no!
I used to really like liver and onions, but I haven't had it in a long time.
I love liver, with or without onions.
Yes...I soak it in milk before cooking - makes it more tender. Haven't had it in many years though.
I tried it once years ago, I thought it was fuzzy, I won't touch the stuff
Fuzzy? Interesting description. I don't like asparagus, it makes me gag.....LOL
Noooooooooooo
yep, with lots of onions
yes, i like it
Chicken liver - yes
