I forgot to pay attention to the time the play started and got there in enough time for a 3 o'clock curtain... it started at 2.
I waited outside for about 1/2 hour, then asked why there was no one else lining up...
The usher walked me upstairs... yes, they had a ticket for me... I'd only missed two songs
It was adorable! The set was great, the singing was good. The puppets were fun - and more fun was watching the non-puppet people interact with the puppets rather than the actors.
The story, using Muppet like puppets, takes place on an avenue in Brooklyn. How do 20 somethings deal with being on their own after college: living in the big city, relationships, friendships.
It's a musical and is VERY sweet and clever.
It has been on Broadway for a while, so might not last here much longer. I am glad I got to see it!
