After, seemingly, weeks upon weeks of rain- I actually have yet to recover from that last blizzard to be quite honest- I hereby declare this to be the first 'Official' Day of Summer. Here in Central Virginia, at least. When the temperature reached the low to mid-seventies, Fahrenheit for our European readers, We wandered down to the lake, Lake Anna to be more specific. My lady-friend took here suit and floatation device. I, on the other-hand, took my camera.
Our neighbors, Donnie & Susan had recently cleared the trail, carefully by hand, that led through about three-quartes of an acre of woodland and was, when we arrived seriously contemplating a dock & a deck ( Not necessarily in that order ) on three-hundred feet of lake shore.
Fortunately they were quite nice, friendly, even cordial, as this had become our favored access to the lake.
While the ladies swam, Donnie and I talked politics & the local economy, tossing a tennis ball to their Labrador and I snapped a few pictures. How could I not ?
What is it like Where You Are ?
