No not really... but they are pretty none-the-less. I was out taking picutres of some of the blooms in my yard as many of you know I'm apt to do. And I started to take a picture of this little purple wild flower.
I hear this little buzzing this green thing appeared!!
Interesting, I thunk to myself, never saw anything quite like it. He's green and looks like shiney metal.
So I watched him, and took his picture. He didn't seem to mind at all.
I had to look him up. He is called a sweat bee, and just like other bees he is a pollenator. So don't smack 'em!!

I was going to tell you what they were, but I see you looked them up. I used to make habitats for those and also carpenter bees when I lived in Atlanta. All the honey bees had disappeared from that area over ten years ago.

I've never heard of a Sweat Bee. Cool color. Great photo essay! Isn't it cool when you start to take a picture and find that something wonderful is happening in nature and you are taking pictures of it! Great colors!
