The moon's reflection on the crystal sea
mirrored the love light in my eyes.
We swayed under the starry night
as he whispered his heart's desire.
With his head nuzzled close to my neck
feathers sent thrilling shots to my toes.
Heady vanilla euphoric musk wafted in the air.
A Summer breeze caressed our intertwined hips,
back.... and.... forth,
back..... and..... forth.
When he lifted me to reach for my lips,
I was mesmerized.
We twirled, embraced, tasted one another;
dizzy until dawn.

Heady vanilla euphoric musk wafted in the air
Almost reminds me of Phantom of the Opera.
Cool, thanks!
It is more like it. A good romantic poem.

Thanks, Ku! "I'm in the mood for love."
Darling, this is really "heady" stuff - romantic, sensual, and so very lyrical. There's magic swirling between the lines, and sunbeams of joy wafting over them! I'll come back and share all my feelings when they're a little more settled - I'm so dizzy from our exquisitely sensuous dance above, oooh!
Thanks for this wonderfully musical piece, my love. It moved me, uplifted me, and twirled me around its sensuous lines! hehehe

You're welcome. I'm thrilled that you enjoyed it and found it to have a musical quality. I'm already working on my next piece about one of Michael Chevel's paintings. Thank you. Love, Jen

What more can I say? It's all been said.
Do you agree with Aman that this one is lyrical? Thank you for your comment, John. :)) I feel a little sad when I don't hear from you.
I really love this sensual, romantic write, Jennifer....:)
Thank you ever so much, Cheryl!
As someone mentioned in an earlier comment, I particularly enjoyed the image "heady vanilla euphoric musk wafted in the air". As well, there is some strong alliteration in the poem as well, especially in the closing line. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, Jason! Your faithful and careful reads bring me much joy.
And dizzy I remain from dawn through dusk. I too am mezmorized, by your words.
Thank you, David! You're a very dear gather friend and I cherish your comments.
