If you remember I was twelve during parts 1 thru 3. Here is part four the wig and pictures of me looking chubby with a long big wig............I never did tell you what it looked like did I well ~ it came almost down to my back it was a little to big so it hung over my face with a big curl right in my eyes, that my mom held back most of the time with a big barrette. It was something, trust me!! Anyways the wig and pictures were still packed away and some how I didn't think about them much anymore. I am now sixteen ~ thinner, my hair, and prettier.
And part four begins............
Picture it a young sixteen year old happy girl getting ready to go out on her first date, with the cutest guy in school. He is the captain of the football team and the friendliest boy in school. Even thinking of him now I smile.
He knocks on the door and my mom answers it. She had him sit down and talk with my dad while I finished getting ready. I begin to walk down the stairs...you know the classic stair moment...slowly walking and smiling. I open my mouth to say hi, but my little sister run down the stairs......with that wig and the pictures. Yelling "Hey Brad look Robyn used to wear a wig!" As she is waving the thing in his face. His face went bright red, as did mine. If that wasn't bad enough she then said, "Look at the pictures, wasn't she ugly." Brad grabbed the pictures and looked at them. I thought I was going to die. I never wanted to be invisible until then! Then Brad said, "No, Robyn looked pretty to me. " and grabbed the wig and put it on. and said "Hey, look at me, I'm a movie star." Then he threw it back at her and look over at me and said, "Are you ready, Miss Movie star?" "Wow I did know I was dating a moviestar." He kept it up until I laughed. After we got into the car I told him thanks. and He said, "I've got a little brother who's a pain in the neck." We went out and had a great time. You only get one first date and mine has the wig in it.
When I got home I took those pictures and the wig ~ got a can, a lighter and I burnt them!!!!!!!!!!!! I stood there and watch them burn, just to make sure there was nothing left. I was not going to have that thing come back and embarrass me again.
And do you want to know the funny thing........ all these things happening to me because of fleas in my hair that the products RID could have taken care of without shaving my head. I still don't understand why my mom wouldn't buy a box of RID instead of that expensive wig.
And this is the end of not only that ____ wig, but my stories about fleas and frogs.
I hope you all enjoyed it. Thanks, Robyn ~

i enjoyed reading this story
Brad sounds like a awesome guy to have done what he did
He was a great guy!! To bad he moved away later that year.
All I can say is "Wow!" His reaction to the wig and pictures was great.
yeah, trust me I didn't think that was how he was going to react. I didn't look good in the pictures! I was usually in a light blue and white strip sweat suit that was to big also. How funnny that I can remember those pictures so well now that I am thinking of them and I am 38 now.
fleas and frogs
THANKS!
Great story - siblings can be a pain sometimes. Now that we are grown up I am really close to mine - they are two of my best friends
my sisters and I are very close now too. the sister in the story, Amanda is nine years younger than me and we are very close now. We do everything together.
I am glad he found humor with the wig.
I have enjoyed reading the history behind Fleas & Frogs, I think next time I seee a frog I will think of you and the wig. TYOur first date was a really nice guy to have handled the situation in the perfect way that he did. YOu go girl!
