It's time to put my May photos onto a CD and delete them off of my computer. I've noticed that at the end of the month I always have a few photos that didn't actually fit anywhere when I posted a photo essay. Today I thought, why not share them in a photo essay of odds and ends. These are just random photos shot here and there as we travel around Myrtle Beach. Perhaps there's one that you'll enjoy seeing.
The Ocean, it's been creeping up close to the 80 degree mark. Just the way I like it.

While walking on the fishing pier one day we spotted a little boy crabbing while his father was fishing. He was thrilled that I wanted a photo of his catch.
While at the zoo we spotted this little guy on top of the box that holds the food you can buy to feed the fish. Smart squirrel.
Some flowers at the zoo growing in the marsh area.
Below is trumpet vine from Myrtle Beach State Park

Flowers at the Mall
I thought Missy missed her outside walks to munch on the grass so I bought her some. The only problem, it doesn't keep growing and it's too expensive to buy:(

My Hibiscus always makes me smile. It's blooming like crazy.

We took a ride to the end of Merells Inlet....

A lot of nice boats and a condo building with a beautiful view.

The flying saucer house.

The inlet is beautiful

So now I can put all my May photos on a CD or two, or three. Time for June's adventurers.

I love your 'odds and ends' photos....all are beautiful! I love the shot of the little squirrel, great capture!!
Btw.....
Beautiful photos Nana! I love the idea of putting your pictures on discs every month. Mine are on discs, external hard drives, the computer and my camera card. I should get them organized and this seems like a good way to do it.
Wow, looks like a great trip!
Wonderful photo essay as always!
Interesting photo essay
I have a lot of random shots like this, too. It's fun to look at them and remember all the different things you did. Thanks for sharing this!
beautiful pictures!
These are great! Thank you for sharing!
A great odds n' ends essay . Good shots all of 'em , Nana.
Nice photos. The ocean doesn't really warm up much here in New England. That flying saucer house is really neat.
There are some really beautiful photos here. I love the squirrel. It's really cute.
They are all great, but I especially like the squirrel.
Pretty photos. Not sure why you move them all to CD perminantly. I have years of digital photos on my computer hard drive. I back them up to DVD every few months.
Thanks Marianne, It's just too many folders to scroll through when I go to "My Pictures" looking for photos for my photo essays. Also, Larry likes to look at the photos and since they are on my computer I have to set it up for him (he's computer challanged) and give up my computer time. This way he can just pop the CD into the laptop and enjoy. I like to free up the space on the computer also.
Wonderful photos Nana!
Fabulous photos Nana! They are wonderful!
Beautiful photos! I love the squirrel shot, they are such smart little beggars.
Thank you for posting your photo essay at Pretty Pictures.
Wonderful photo essay
Nice photo essay Nana. I really would love to see the inside of the flying saucer house.
Thanks Janet. I would too. I thought it was really an interesting place.
Wow! That was a beautiful photo essay Nana!!!!
great photos
Very good photos. I like the one with the squirrel.
Very nice photos!
very pretty
Great essay Nana, Thanks for posting to our Spring09 group.
cool pics :)
Great photos! That hisbiscus is quite impressive.
Now, I'll have to take a trip to the beach next week.
Great pics! I especially loved the hibiscus, and was intrigued by the flying saucer house. It seems very practical for the area--a solid foundation, with the main part of the house raised above the water level.
Thanks Alison. All the homes in this area are built on stilts. I think the structures under this home are probably parking and outdoor showers. The actual "saucer/home" is all on stilts or pylons.
Thanks for the details.
I enjoyed all your odds and ends photos! Great essay
More gorgeous shots--just wonderful.
What a fabulous array of photos, Nana!
Thank you so much!
Wonderful Odds and Ends Nana
Excellent group of shots Nana, thanks for sharing
i very much enjoyed your random left over photos..I've seen the flying saucer house before online somewhere...probably on a web site for odd houses...have you ever been in it?
Thanks Katherine, No I've never been inside. I'm not sure if it is a private residence or maybe a business. We'll have to drive down and check it out from the front if possible. This is a view from a boat docking area and I zoomed in on it.
i enjoyed your pictures
These are great. I copy mine off to. All family pictures I make several copies and give to the kids. I vowed long ago never to lose irreplaceable things like that.
Same here Nancy, at Christmas they each get a copy of the family CD I have made. Also, we take all our cat Fuzzy's photos from the year and send the CD off to the couple who found him under their front porch and so kindly let us adopt him. I wrote about that day here on Gather if you aren't familiar with the story.
That is such a good idea to copy by the month. I'm ready to clean up my act eh pictures too.
Cute odds and ends shots, love your pretty hibiscus.
Great photos! I love the color of your hibiscus!
Nice pictures!
A great assortment! Those crabs are fascinating and your hibiscus is gorgeous!
All some great photos, I enjoyed them all. I hope to see those june photos soon...hint, hint!
Came back to look again. Those trumpet vines struck my eye. I think I actually have a rhody picture with blossoms like that!!
