That is the quick poll question on CNN today. Your choices are...
- Yes, if the quality improves
- Yes, it is an American Company
- No, I'm happy with what I drive
- No, they've lost me forever
I voted! When you are done voting the current polling results are displayed. I was actually quite surprised by the answer I saw! With 62,202 pollers, the voting was pretty much even across the categories!

I never owned a GM until our last van. My father in law is retired from there. I'd buy one if I had the funds, it was the best deal and the best quaility for the money.
yes, i would
I would not own anythng newer than a '72 in the first place. And in that area, I favore Ford for work trucks, and GM for road cars.
I've seen a lot guys with that attitude. They all go on that if I can't fix it, I don't won it. Not a mechanic though so I try to get basic models instead.
Maybe. I do like the Traverse.
Sure, why not. I'd rather buy from General Motors (GM) than "Government Motors" though... LOL.
No not really. I have a Kia and love it.
Of course.. I own a GM now.
Yes. Almost all the cars I have ever bought have been used anyway.
I love GM ... I have a GMC Jimmy, with a huge lift kit ... It's been a great car. We're thinking about getting a GMC Envoy next.
I would be open to considering it, but ultimately I leave it up to my husband to decide. He's the one who knows vehicles better!
No. Both GM and Chrysler are off limits to me now. I've owned American vehicles all my life and am a very happy owner of a 99 Cherokee now but that combined UAW/US government open ownership means no way in hell for me now. They were bad enough these last few years but now?
Just bought Nissan Pathfinder yesterday. Sorry Detroit.
I have loved my chevy cavalier, it is 10 years old with 140,000 miles and only had brake pads replaced. It has been the best car I ever owned. I am thinking of looking at some Kias. I also would like to own a Toyoyta (not spelled right). I will go with anything I think is a good car and good buy.
