Do you blog anywhere besides gather or is gather your main blog site? I recently made a livejournal account and wrote an entry, but ended up leaving alone for a few weeks because livejournal isn't as popular as it once was (which is a shame since it is a great site I think). I had a xanga many eons ago too when it was really popular but when facebook and myspace appeared it has since went the same path and slowly died off.
Enter blogging sites such as wordpress.com and blogger. I recently made a wordpress blog, so I'm keeping up with it and livejournal to see which one I like better. I'm probably going to keep both as wordpress is a very active website and there's a lot of blogs on there that I enjoy reading. And Livejournal, I recently learned that two of my closest friends had accounts on there. I also have a blog on another website, but I don't really blog on there much anymore.
I started with xanga in 2004 and quit in 2006. Then in 2007 I picked up blogging again at another website and i'm still there though a lot of people don't use the blogging system anymore. Now I have a livejournal and a wordpress blog.
I love blogging because I love writing. I'm still trying to work on my writing style and finding my voice though. What I really like about wordpress is how many options it gives you, it's like a combination of a website and a blog all in one. Plus, with blogrolls, you can add other websites or accounts you have on other websites like deviantart.com
Do you like blogging and/or blog on sites other than gather.com?

I'm not a very good blogger, so i don't really blog anywhere, even here. just read.
I don't call what I do at gather blogging except maybe the occasional where I share my day? I have a blog Marsha's Spot. I would love to share what I type in there daily in apost here at gather but I don't think it's allowed since most days I put in a link to a gather post (which no, that's not a problem here), links to recently updated squidoo pages...a banner to a site I reached payout on recently...that kind of stuff.

As others have said above, I don't consider any writing on Gather to be 'blogging', based upon the general perception of this term in the 'blogosphere'. Gather is a social/money-making site that has posting capability, but cannot be taken seriously as a 'blog'.
I participate in blogs and other sites as a contributing writer and editor, as well as performing UX reviews.
I would like to blog for a journal but not for everyone to see. I don't blog anywhere but here.

Wordpress? Never heard of that one. I'm not very good at blogging, though I belong to both Facebook and Twitter. I do have a "blog" where I show off my cross stitch, though.
