I am mostly conservative, but believe in a few liberal leanings. I don't believe evil is right or left. What I do believe is there is plenty of hate to go around, and some liberals and conservatives make sweeping statements that are causing civil war and at least unrest.
We are all aware of some of Limbaugh's statements, and nut jobs that kill to save a life, but let's expose the Democratic Underground. Are they terrorists? Gee, have the lefties ever bombed anyone? Oh yea, that guy that just got out of prison lest we forget, and didn't he have our president as a friend. Didn't our president just pardon the new Black Panthers?
But the right are the insensitive ones?

I grew up around mostly conservatives and am now around mostly liberals. My observation from where I sit/sat is that conservatives seemed to pride themselves in being rude jackasses, often forming prejudiced jokes around that fact - for laughs. They don't hide it.
And liberals TRY to be sensitive because that's what makes you one.
On to your real topic: Ronald Reagan will be hated for how he almost ruined America with his trickle down theory, along with a big long list of other specific things he did.
I never had so much money as I did during Ronald Reagan's trickle down economics, but as to your statement, disliking a polcy as I dislike Obama's and you dislike Reagan is one thing, cursing him is another. I see hate on both sides.

Actually, liberals do not miss the Soviet Union, although truth be told Putin ain't much better. It's nice that the Berlin Wall came down. Liberals however do not generally give Ronald Reagan sole credit for that. And we do recall that Reagan was willing to trade weapons to Iran to get money to fund the Contras in Nicaragua- or at least to hire Oliver North and then decline to supervise him. By the way, Reagan had nothing to do with freeing the hostages in Teheran. The Iranians did that, on Reagan's inauguration day, as a last spiteful swipe at Jimmy Carter, so that he would not be remembered well.
Reagan was not all bad. He was too well intentioned, too happy, for anyone to reasonably hate. But he was not one of our greatest presidents. Better than Bush II. Not up there with Lincoln or Washington or Roosevelt. I know I know, that's a terrible thing to say.
But we were talking about heartless right wingers, like Scott Roeder and Tim McVeigh. Point should be admitted, neither of these two men thought of themselves as heartless. Both thought that they were acting out of high ideals. A dozen preschool kids dead in the wreckage of the Alfred Murrah building, and drops of blood on the floor of a church in Kansas. Misplaced idealism, lack of perspective, absolute sureness that one's own view is the only possible view for a "good person" to have. That's the problem with the right wing fringe, not "heartlessness". Were Roeder and McVeigh "sensitive"? Well, their sensitivity was selective, it wore blinders. My favorite victims, my rights, matter. Your rights don't matter. And if I make you into a victim, so what.
Don't even start with McVeigh. I went to the OKC memorial this weekend. You just have to wonder. I was upset with what happened at Waco, but to kill children to get even with killing children? Demonic, that's all.
McVeigh did not do what he did because of Clinton's Waco massacre. He did what he did because he was a raving nutcase. It would have happened regardless of what was in the news at the time, because, like all conspiracy nuts, McVeigh would have found his excuse in whatever was going on at the time.

Ronald Regan was not a perfect president, he was a good president, he was human. He made mistakes, and mistakes that were made in his administration he took the fall for, that paved the way for Bush to gain the presidency. Regan was probably the last great president that this country will see.
