With Father's day right around the corner, I was wondering what everyone is giving their father or significant other for father's day.
I'm still not sure what my hubby will be getting, I was gonna buy him a new game for his PS3 but he already bought the only one he wanted so thats out of the questions. My daughter keeps begging me to take her shopping to get him something but I have no idea what to get.

My dad needs a new chainsaw. (He's a farmer and it's always in his truck.) His has died and is beyond repair. My brother and sisters and I are going in together on it. I would like to get my husband a new grill. Our old one still works, but we've had it around 10 years and would like to get him something nicer.
I think my hubby would like a new grill too but its just not in our budget right now.
My hubby wants a Cd/ cassette player and we found one at Walmart. I plan to get that.
Good idea. I've tried asking mine what he wants but he never tells me.
At this point I have no idea! LOL!
Me niether, unfortunately.
i wish i had a dad alive to give a ift too, and my husband alive for the boys to give a gift to. So if your husband/father/grandfather is alive
give him a hug and never take him for granted
Sandi, my dad passed away so I can understand that. Thankfully my hubby is still with us. I'm sorry you are going to have to go through this year without them.
27 years for my father and 14 years for my husband
my boys were 1, 4, and 9 the younger 2 dont even remember him now, which is such a shame
no idea yet.
I bought my hubby a new tent - with 3 seperate rooms in it each capable of holding a queen size air mattress - for our camping trip this year! LOL
Umm, hate to admit this but I've never been camping in a tent. Maybe if I bought him one he would take me? We keep talking about it but then we're like all the money would have to put out to buy the things we need would cost us an arm and a leg.
It isn't too bad expense wise when you compare to costs of hotels and dining out. Outlet stores usually have stuff cheaper. Plus there are ways to camp comfortably and eat well without spending a ton!!!!!!!!
I think my brother is gonna let us borrow his big tent. I talked to him and he wants to go camping too. Yay! One less expense. I'm such a city girl, I don't know how well I would do camping but I'm gonna try it.
That is great news. I recommend touring / visiting campsites before you choose one. Some have really nasty bathrooms - others are really nice. Pick one that isn't too primitive for your first time out. One of the things we do for food that is cheap is to get pie irons then take a few loaves of bread, spagetti sauce, and motzerella cheese and pepperoni and make pizza sandwiches in them. We also do hot dogs on the fire.
Some campgrounds even have electricity (outlets by the parking space).
Good luck to you and HAVE FUN
I have no idea yet!
I have no idea either. My dad has everything he needs so what do you get the man who has everything.
The only other thing my hubby wants is a jet ski and a 4-wheeler. Both are out of the question right now. I'm having the same issue. He has everything he wants besides those 2 things.
My husband is getting a drill that I got through MSN's Club Live.
Thats awesome. I haven't been playing there as much as usual but I guess I should get on it. I saw some great new prizes.
I got my husband a book that he wanted. I'm also giving him a personalized shirt.
Do you mind telling me what its gonna say? Thats a great idea.
I have no idea what I'm getting my own dad, though
hummmmmhhh, im not sure. hubby maybe getting clothes. thats what he needs the most
My hubby has so many shirts that he can't fit them all in his dresser. He doesn't need anymore clothes. lol
I have a few ideas that he will like, I think.
I don't usually have much money so probably just a card and a little grandpa gift from my 10 year old daughter.
I hear ya. Thats how we were at Christmas cause my hubby didn't have a job.
Dad might just be gifted with my presence! LOL!
That always works. lol
Since I'm due to go into labor at any minute, Father's Day is the LAST thing on my mind. I think I'll just hand the baby to my hubby and say "Happy Father's Day!"
After all, what better gift could he get then a new little baby?
Oh thats sweet. I hear ya though cause I wouldn't be worrying about it either if I were you.
I never know what to get my dad.
Hey they got me what else could they want? Probably just a card for both my dads.
That sounds good to me. Would save me a few bucks anyways, right?
Myself? lol
I'll be living closeby. That's the gift.
Thats a good gift.
Let her pick it out & let that be it. That is what we have mostly tried to do with our daughter & mothers day/fathers day gifts.
I did that last year and she always picks out things with princesses on them. Then she gets mad that he never uses it. LOL
Dad will get a card and some photos of the kids....hubby will only get a card. He didn't get me anything for Mother's Day.
That reminds me I need to send some pictures to my grandparents. Thanks!
Meant to add, my hubby didn't get me anything for mothers day either, maybe he shouldn't get something for fathers day.
OMG I have no idea time goes by toooo fast
I know I have one thing for my husband. I got this travel coffee mug on clearance at Hallmark a while back. You can pull the sheet out and put picture collages of the kids all around it, and it has scrapbook stickers and stuff that says, "One cool Dad" and other sayings. He always takes coffee in the car. That's all I know so far.
Just cards for my dad and my FIL. I don't know for sure yet on what I'm getting my husband. He wants a new tool box, but I'm not sure that will be in the budget. The one he wants is over $100, and since my sister has been here this past week, we cut it really close on our budget for the first half of the month already (we ate out a lot more than normal, and with an extra person, that adds up fast).
Elliott already picked out the first season of Alf for my husband for Father's day. They've watched it together on TV a couple times. It was one of my husband's favorite shows, and Elliott thinks that Alf is funny.
Luckily my father is with me right now and he has come from India to meet us...will plan something special.
Love
These are awesome ideas, guys. I'm totally in the same boat as you, Ang, at a loss about what to get for Father's Day. You know what I heard, though? Apparently dad's want nothing! Hard to believe, I know. Here's a link to a post I put up about that, what do you make of it?
