Day 8, and the final day of the 8 Glasses a Day challenge put on here on gather with the deliciouschange group and Crystal Light.
Since the 2 days that I had a headache are the 2 days that I didn't start out drinking a can of Dr. Pepper, I used this last day to experiment. After my breakfast drink I started the day with a bottle of water flavored with Crystal Light Energy. I followed that with a bottle of water flavored with Crystal Light Skin Essentials (which is still by far my favorite flavor so far in pomegranite lemonade). I then had my can of Dr Pepper. Later I then drank a bottle of water flavored with pink lemonade and another flavored with natural lemonade.
It was once again a go go and go some more day, but NO headache. I am happy! I intend to keep drinking water flavored with the Crystal Light and look forward to trying more kinds and flavors when I make more shopping trips. I want to try all of the Crystal Lights that also include vitamins such at the Sunrise which has 100% Vitamin C per serving.
Today's weigh in was 152.8. Day one was 155.2. I realize that it's easier to lose weight in hot weather as you eat lighter and sweat more, but I'm sure the water has really helped me. I'm no longer drinking 3 to 4 cans of sugar filled Dr. Pepper a day and don't intend to go back to that.
When I found out that I was chosen for the challenge and to recieve the water bottle and Crystal Light, I went out ahead of time and bought several boxes of Crystal Light. I wanted a jump start on getting used to the flavored water over Dr. Pepper. I thought I wouldn't be able to do it...what I found out is that it was a whole lot easier than I expected. I am NOT a water drinker, and never have been, but with the Crystal Light added I'm souring!

7. Lose weight by drinking waterDrinking water is important if you’re trying to lose weight, some studies have shown that thirst and hunger sensations are triggered together. If there is a slight dehydration the thirst mechanism may be mistaken for hunger and one may eat when the body is actually craving fluid. As most food contains some water, if one doesn’t drink much they may be subconsciously driven to eat more to gain the necessary water supply however, you also gain the undesired effects of increased calorie consumption. Drinking more water can help to prevent overeating and benefit weight loss.
