It has become the norm in many hospitals to send mom and baby home after one night but sometimes it is because of the insurance. With my second (16 yrs ago) I went home the day after giving birth. I was actually glad to sleep in my own bed.
Kat, I would love to go home as soon as possible after the birth, and I am definitely going to ask at my next clinic appointment what their policy is. With my oldest son I had to stay two nights, because it was my first, and with my second son I had to stay two nights because they were waiting on some test results before they could release him. That last night I just wanted to go home to my own bed.

I think it's a security device to keep him from being taken by the wrong person. Anyway, Jacob looks like he's kinda busy with the nap thing.

yes, that's Willo, who is now not the baby anymore and is a big sister...I don't think she's too impressed yet LOL This is my daughter's 5th child
