I do not go to Walgreens every week, but this weeks there were a couple of deals that I was interested in, so I packed off the coupon back and headed for the store.
I ended up going to the store twice, as my husband was interested in a deal on sunglass clip ons, but I needed his glasses to find the right kind.
First Trip
First Transaction:
BIC Bella Soleil razors on sale at $4.99 (saved $2.30) - $3 coupon = $1.99
Total after tax $2.19
I got 1 dollar back in register rewards
Total saved $5.30
Second Transaction:
Size 1 Walgreen's diapers 54 count on sale at $5.99 (saved $3.50)
2 x Scott's packaging sale reg. prize $3.49 had rainchecks making them 99 cents each = $1.98 (saved $5)
Subtotal after tax $8.45
Paid with $1 register reward
Total = $7.45
Total saved $9.50
My husband has been complaining about headaches, and since he is driving around in South Florida without sunglasses, I completely understand why. Sometimes I have to squeeze my eyes while we are out (I need sunglasses too), but at least I'm not driving all day.
When I was at Walgreens, I discovered that they had their sun shades (the clip on kind) on sale for either $7.49 or $11.49. After my husband picked us up from the school, we stopped by Walgreen's on the way home, and I ran in with his sunglasses.
The more expensive clip on's did not fit well on his sunglasses, as they were either two short in the width or they just did not fit well. I then tried the cheaper kind, and although they were a little too big at the top they fit perfectly, so these were the kinds we went with. My husband has been saving up to get some new glasses with shade, but he says these works great, and now we saved him a couple of hundred dollars.
Since there is a limit off 1 BIC deal per customer, I decided to go ahead and get another BIC Soleil deal now that I was there.

I used Walgreens diapers from time to time towards the end of Gilly being in diapers, and they worked fine. I was never picky about diapers- we didn't have any leakers, or rash prone kids, so brand and style never mattered. The ones I bought most often were from Big Lots- a full package of off brand diapers for $2.99. When I had extra cash, I stocked up.
Wow, Heather that is a great deal on diapers. We have a Bit Lots, but it is not in walking distance, I might have to get my husband to drop me off. Right now I am collecting coupons and samples, and hopefully CVS will have a great sale with bucks back.
I have never been picky with the diapers either, allthough I have had my favorites. I am a great fan of the CVS brand, and I always stock up, when there is a sale.
With my son, I could only use Pampers. Everything else made him break out. He seems to have very sensitive skin. He's had several different fungi too. Anyway, with both my daughters I've been able to use any brand of diaper. Much cheaper!
good deals. I stopped in Walgreens today to get my prescription and pick up a couple of things I needed while I was there. Of course, none of the stuff I needed was on sale.
I hate to buy stuff at full prize JoAnn. This always happens when the school sends home a note saying that the kids needs to bring this and this for the next day.
I have to go to Walgreen's tomorrow to get my daughter's prescription filled. I'll have to see what I can find at ours.
Renee ours had lots of orange clearance stickers everywhere, but I did not find anything too great. Sometimes it is possible to get things free after coupons, once they have the items on clearance.

I ran into Walgreen's today to get some Tylenol and found a great deal on the airwick Lumin air flame less candle it was on clearance for 5.99 and I had a 3.00 off printed coupon. Its fabulous and is all electric not battery so its better than the glade wisp which I have 2 of and which stop working after about 3 months I guess the element that ignites the oil burns out or something because its just sitting there doing nothing

I was looking at the Walgreen's ad yesterday too. The diapers and razors were on my list, if I get a chance to get there.

I went to WAGS today too. I got 2 of the Bayer monitors b/c I had a free coupon and I got back $20 in RR for a money maker of $20. WAGS rocks this week!

I had to use Huggies diapers with Matthew as he got rashes easily. Conner didn't so store brands worked just fine with him.
is there register bucks anything like CVS bucks?
Yes Minipin, they seem to be just like the CVS bucks except that they are not connected to a store card. This essentially means that even though it says one limit per customer, you can go back and get more another day or at another store, because they do not keep track of your purchases like CVS does.
Oh that is so cool. I will have to start doing that as well. Since I plan on changing pharmacies anyways.
