While the art theme was a GREAT success, the time for a new theme is upon us.
Last week we saw art in clothing, drawings, nature, and stained glass windows to name a few. I hope that you will look past the surface in the future and see the art around you all.
This week we will shift gears slightly and look at something else in nature - Baby animals.
No matter the species, baby animals are always a delight to see.
Sometimes they are our pets.
Sometimes they are "borrowed" pets.
Bengal kitten
Sometimes they are insects that live among us.
Other times they are our feathered friends
A robin and her baby.
A robin at the Crane Foundation that fell from the nest (he was put back in by a worker)
A mother and her ducklings at Olbricht Garden
Or eggs that have yet to hatch.
Or the animals we visit at the zoo.
Or animals on the farm.
And sometimes they are our aquatic friends.
No matter the type of animal, or our relation to it, baby animals never cease to make us stop and look at them.
Let's see the baby animals that you stop to look at, too! These animals can be ones you saw in your travels, zoos, your pet or a borrowed pet. It matters not so long as YOU took the photo. NO INTERNET PHOTOS WILL BE ACCEPTED!
This theme will run until next Monday when I'll (hopefully) pick another theme.
All formats are accepted (photos, photo essay, video) so long as they are 100% your photos.

Oh how cute I love the baby pigs especially then again I am a softy for pigs. Hope our baby puppies will be here before this is over.
Piglets are real cute. I don't have any photos of them, though. The first one are baby mice - newborns.

Cool theme....love the photo of all the little pigs, -- they are adorable!!
Those are actually newborn mice. Hehehe. Our mother had a litter of 20 that time.
Omgosh,,,they are mice!!! LOL I knew the white ones were mice but I honestly thought the pink ones were pigs!!!!! HeeHeeHee I had thought about what fun it would be to own a little baby pig......well, is it fun to own a little baby mouse?!?!?! LOL
Haha yeah all mice. Piggies would be so much fun to have as pets, though!
As for the baby mice yeah it's fun owning them, but we had too many litters here for our tastes. I'm happy to report our colony of 20 some odd females are pup free. :)
