This is a poem I am working on to give to my daughter on her wedding day (12/19/09)
My dearest daughter today is the day we have both dreamt about
Today you will become another's wife
It seems like only yesterday I held you in my arms, so tiny and small
This is the day your father will walk you down the aisle
I cannot promise there will not be tears in my eyes
As I struggle with my emotions
I can promise you I will always be here for you
And even though you are now a wife
You will always be my little girl
