A Heavenly View
From childhood on
I've been told
Of the wondrous
Streets of gold
Whether house or mansion
With many rooms
Brightly lit
With no more gloom
But that image
Didn't seem clear
Nor is it what
I hold dear
To me, I see
A heavenly home
Among God's glory
Where His creation roams
Tree's and grass
Are always good
Along with animals
Of the woods
I long to see
The day foretold
When lions, lambs
And men will hold
Living together
In peace as one
Under God's heaven
With God's son!
