Resolved: that the conversations originating from a number of UNELECTED right wingers such as Rush Limbaugh, Newt Gingrich, Ann Coulter, Glenn Beck are a liability to the United States political system in terms of civility and focus. In the eyes of this observer, the Republican Party USA is engaged in a contest between two wings at the moment. One wing is elected- and therefore accountable. The other wing is unelected, and therefore can say any crazy dang thing it wants to.
As a liberal, I hope I have enough sense to know that I am NOT going to remake the Republican Party in my own image. I am not even going to try. But the Republican party needs to continue to exist, and needs also to maintain a dialog regarding public policy. The exaggerated rhetoric coming from unelected commentators desiring to sell books to the right wing fringe or peddle their program to advertisers is counterproductive.
In order to encourage civility and to discourage extremism, this group is intended to serve as a listening post to the utterances of the UNELECTED right wing. Care to participate?
If you wish to operate a listening post for unelected left wingers such as Maddow and Olberman, you need to set that group up yourself.

Rush, etc--"a liability to the United States political system in terms of civility and focus." Absolutely! I hope that that are harming the party and exposing blind hatred for what is.
