Ssshhh! Do not tell my daughter I titled this prom princess. She would be mortified. Yet at the same time I think she would also be delighted. Every little girl dreams of being a princess at one time or another. Prom night and weddings are two of the times that dream seems to come true. Luckily tonight was prom night. I am not so sure I am ready for my youngest to be married.
We had hoped for a sunny day but the weather was not cooperating. It did grant us a few hours rain free during which we snapped some photos of my princess with her prince.
No limo for this happy couple. Michaela has a cheap side. I even offered to pay but she insisted it was a waste of money. Chariot of choice was her very own Toyota Camry.
Years ago we used to make fun of my mil because at every gathering she would be dragging the camera out. She retired from that role and somehow I am now the one demanding everyone say cheese. Michaela has a quirky sense of humor and is always making goofy faces when I try and take nice photos of her. I promised her that I would show them to the world.
This mom likes to keep her promises.
To be fair I figured I would throw in a horrible photo of myself.
Been battling allergies all week and see how I end up looking. Allergy attacks always make me look overweight. That and not going to the gym! Seriously I felt like hell but my smile is genuine. I am so proud of my little girl.

They look very nice...and I like the color of her dress. My son didn't go to prom this year, but I think he will next year (as a Senior). It's odd to see prom photos, since my kids have been out of school for the summer for a while now.
School is over for the seniors but regular school ends around the 21st of June.
Wow, that's late. My son was finished May 7th and my daughter May 22nd. Next school year my son will graduate on May 8th.
My daughter will be graduating on June 12th. Our school year usually begins around Sept 4th.
We start school the first or second week of August.

Prom is still going on. The school also hosts an after prom party. The kids are encouraged to stay until 5 am. Who ever stays get a chance to win a brand new car. They offer lots of other great prizes too.
Yes she is a clown! My youngest two daughters and I all share a wacky sense of humor. Speaking of clowns if you check out the picture of her with my youngest grandson you can see a Jack in the Box clown seemingly coming out of the top of her head (not planned it was part of her car antenna).

your daughter is a beauty. Mine won't let me post photos of her prom. At our high school, many of the kids went as a group, since it was no longer required to have a date. My daughter chose a basic black cocktail dress, knee length from Ann Taylor, actually, and it was a good price, plus her red high heels, and we bought red earrings and a red bracelet to match. Her basic black cocktail dress can be worn for decades.....
She did look stunning.

She ordered the gown online and had to have it altered to fit her. It kills me it was an extra small and she needed it taken in more. She is also short so lot's of alterations had to be done.
