Oh my goodness, it is time
I saw a sundress this morn
laying on fluid curvaceous hips
just where tingles are born.
Mother nature helping in the view
allowed visions to aid with ease.
Just enough of a breath of wind
moving the hem to a tease.
That soft cottony material
clinging in all the right places.
Even telling me she knew my look
as we shared a glance of faces.
I could see a hint of a smile
just enough to send a greeting.
Nothing torrid or too hard
a light belt above the pleating.
Nothing was missed in my view
lines striking an artistic pose.
Flowing stripes from side to side
didn't hide sandals or painted toes.
Oh, my goodness it is spring time
sun dresses are starting to show.
Love them the same as spring roses
no doubt the best of them do know.
A feast for these tired eyes
humbled with all they can see.
Just enough height to tingle the soul
when mine eyes go above the knee.
Young women miss so much
when wearing overly tight jeans.
They have no idea the real turn on
with sun dresses on the scenes.
Thank goodness for hot sun
bare skin exposed to the eye.
Little tiny straps over shoulders
material clinging to the thigh.
Silhouettes and forms galore
striking images dancing in the mind.
With mother nature's whispered wind
sweat beads causing a glistening shine.
So thankful to the ladies
who know the power of the dress
the one made to wear in the sun
a treat far better than the rest.

You paint a beautiful and sensual image with your words of admiration.
Great Write!!
The mages are beautiful and at times striking.
Spencer, this one has me smiling. I love your tone, am I being bad? Ahhh, its my mood lately, I swear I don't know what has gotten into me. (No sax jokes please!) I really liked the poem Spencer and sorry, I haven't worn a sundress for eons.
Then you need to go get some now. LOL You're not being bad. Just womanly. Hee hee
I remember this one... you posted it last summer, perhaps? I thought of it today, actually... we went to Sea World and as we were leaving, there was an unusual crowd coming in to the park, the majority of whom were women dressed in sundresses... what a lovely coincidence that you should post this!
Actually I have written two which are similar. I think I posted them both last year. The other one is simply called Sundress and speaks a bit more candidly about what it does, how it helps to show a woman's body, etc.
I enjoy looking a woman in a sundress. Many have no idea how sensual they can be.
I guess that explains why this didn't necessarily have the "same" feel but struck me in a similar way. It's lovely, Spencer.
Very nice, Spencer...:)
Thank you much.
:-) (A big Russian smile). Unfortunately, OUR summer is just a cartoon of your Southern winters, how the great Pushkin once put it... LOL!
Blessings and best wishes - S.
Wear one on a sunny day. It can add a bit of umph in how you feel.
You paint such wonderful pictures with your words. I have traded my levis for sundresses and I feel so free and cool and feminine in them.
Myke
Wow Myke, would you post some pictures for us? ;-)
I bet you do feel freer and more feminine in a sundress. Probably sexy too.
I remember this one. Nice.
lovely!
I love the way you view the world and most especially the way you write about what you see
Hmmmm...makes me want to pull out my little short sundress, just for you! LOL
