When I was 17 I was feeling down. I went over to see my cousin and he had on a baseball game. The Boston Red Sox Team was playing. Not knowing much about baseball I sat down on the floor in front of the tv. The Red Soxs were up to bat. Crack,I love that sound. THe bat hitting the ball. Sounded like biting into an apple to me. From then on I became a big fan of the team. Then I met my husband years later and he started a magazine called Baseball Card Update. He did most of the work himself for a monthly magazine. We started to do very well and we received so many sets of cards from companies who wanted their cards in the magazine. I would take a lot of the Red Sox player's cards and put them in plastic and hide them from my hubby. I still have so many. Then I had my baby boy. The first outfit for him was the Boston Red Sox shirt. He wore it with a diaper and drank out of a Red Sox baby bottle. Call me nuts but I really enjoy watching them. Then the baseball strike came and our magazine went under like so many other people who relied on baseball for a living. I am still a Red Sox Fan. I guess Babe's curse was lifted after all. Hopefully I can post this right so I don't have to type it all over again.
Thanks for reading, Annmarie

Robyn, I was going to bed but I had to look if any messages were there. My Maiden name is Pepe. Phil Pepe who wrote for the daily news(sports) was my father's cousin. I loved living back east and now I am stuck in CO.
awwww....thats ok, you can still be a fan:)
Great post Annmarie. I grew up a Red Sox fan and I still can't believe how many Red Sox fans I see when I travel to other parts of the country. Red Sox Nation is strong!!
It is good to see that there are a lot of Red Sox fans out there. They are not to popular in Colorado.
I like the Red Sox myself. But I guess my favorite teams are the Cardonals and the Orieoles. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Terry!
