Easy Lasagna
An easy to make and bake lasagna that you don't have to cook the noodles first.
Ingredients:
- 2 and 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce
- 1 cup water
- 8 oz (9 piece) lasagna (uncooked)
- 1 3/4 cups (15 oz) ricotta cheese
- 3 cups (12 oz) shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1 lb. hamburger (optional)
- Optional: mushrooms, black olives, onions, bell pepper, pepperoni
Directions:
Heat oven to 375 degrees F. In saucepan, heat sauce and water. Combine ricotta, 2 cups mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese and parsley. Season to taste.
Pour 3/4 cup sauce in 13x9 inch baking dish; arrange 3 pieces uncooked pasta over sauce (pasta will expand while cooking). Pour 1/2 cup sauce over pasta; spread with hamburger and then half cheese mixture. Cover with 1/2 cup sauce. Repeat layers.
Top with pasta and remaining sauce; sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese. Cover with foil, bake 60 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup mozzarella cheese; let stand 10 minutes.

Sounds very good. I will have to give it a try.
Sounds good. I've never tried not cooking the pasta first. Does the water make your sauce runny?
I have never cooked the noodles!
i just sent this to my son!
So you don't even have to cook the noodles first, huh? That sounds cool...I'll definitely give this one a try, thanks ;-)
Hmm I think mine might be easier.
i have never cooked the noodles either
Thanks, I love lasagna.
It does look simple enough Sonia. I haven't made lasagna in years because of the fact that I hate cooking the noodles.
Thanks for sharing..I am always looking for easy dinner ideas.
You NEVER have to cook the noodles first.
I used to start my own sauce with browning ground turkey with onions and peppers... then adding tomato sauce and tomato paste - and lots of herbs
You can experiment with low fat and fat free cheeses to see which has the right amount of melt for you. I always let the finished lasagna sit in the oven and continue to cook without heat for a while. It's easier to cut when it's not just finished cooking.
I love lasagna. I havn't made it in a while.
