THE DROWNING MAIDEN
Long hair lashing
The beach at the eventide,
White waves crashing,
And the golden lady cried.
It was a pain in fiery eyes
And the golden lady sighed,
Yes pain and a dead tomorrow:
Why the golden lady cried.
Silver fragments casting
Their wrath at avenging seas,
Hope dying, never lasting,
As she sank down on her knees:
Then tears, the balm of angels
When devils try to seize
The heart of a weeping maiden
Who has sank down on her knees.
Poseidon rose like magic
And took into his hand
The maiden's, weeping tragic
On the edge of a foreign land,
He kissed her, salty kisses
That sailors understand
And she smiled and whispered softly
On the edge of a foreign land.
Then her long hair lashing
The verge of a lost seashore,
She walked into the crashing
As the tidal oceans tore:
And her whispered words were dragged
Like music on the shore
As the oceans covered over
And the tidal oceans tore.

I dig it! I love poetry of the ocean and its relation to romance and love, tragic love.
Absolutely beautiful! Featured in the group,

It's really gratifying when one's words are appreciated.
This is pure genius!
