Reggae Hut Restaurant... (Review)

If you are looking for a "fashionable" place...with well prepared Caribbean cuisine...this is a great place...to get your meals for under $10.00... Where's your shades man??? We're going to the Caribbean!!! Well...not literally...just "figuratively" in our daydreams. Kind of reminds me of Ronnie Milsap's song...

"I'm having day dreams 'bout night things, in the middle of the afternoon..."  

I dunno... Call me a music "buff"...I relate a lot of my experiences to music lyrics. I can always feel the passion and beat that pumps through every written word on a page!

The owners of Reggae Hut...are also owners of the very widely accepted "Breakfast Klub"....(now for you "English" professors and grammatically correct Guru's...it's spelled with a "K"...not a "C"...) that is located not too far down the strip...in Midtown.  

Again...this is not one of those joints that have "wide open spaces"...  You are going to feel the "body heat" given off by your fellow patrons sitting next to you.

The decor is very eclectic and so if you are one who likes symmetry in your design style, you are probably going to need a "muzzle" to hold back your remarks. But if you are like me, I tend to go for the diversified textures and elements that make a room flow together. That's the designer in me...I guess???

Once more...here is another place where your pallets...will scream with "rapture"...as your taste buds soar into another galaxy!!!  Though they have limited menu items...they are very productive when it comes to their Jamaican specialties. Even though the choices are restricted, you are not going to "miss a beat" with any cuisine that is on this menu.

Once again...if you don't mind adding a few cavities to your already "porcelain" capped filled mouth and make a trip to your local dentist...then you must "sink your teeth" into one of their "disaccharides" filled pastries. Personally...my dentist has seen me so much lately, we have developed a special "bond" (no pun intended)...between each other. My favorite is their "cocoa bread" that they make with coconut milk. 

Now...like your mama always told you...you can't have dessert before you eat what's on your plate first. I think in this case, there will be no issues "lickin' " you plate clean at this joint.  They have a specialty called...I believe..."Jerk Chicken"...or "Jerky Chicken"?  I dunno...  I'm having a "short diversion-al" experience of a "senior moment" to recall it's proper name.  But...if I'm not mistaken...ooohhh...looky here...my memory has become "perfectly and transparently clear" at this very "infinitesimal space of time," to where I can recall that the chicken is marinated and cooked slowly until it just "jumps" right off those "calcareous connective tissues"...in which we call "skeletons" or "bones."  Mmmm...mmmm...good is what you will be singing all the way to the register counter!

Now...don't forget to wash it down with one of their...Caribbean sodas...ginger beer...or smoothies.

Awe...now this is a perfectly urban...cool...vibe...that we "all" can call "heaven"...
