It's late Saturday evening. I'm driving home and what do I hear?
A rapid blink of the turn signal, of course (for those who don't know, in newer cars this often means the bulb is burnt out).
Memorial Day weekend is "Bring on the Heat" in this area (DUI enforcement) so we have checkpoints and there are more police out. Not a great time to be without a turn signal.
Today I turn into Advanced Auto Parts to pick up replacement bulbs. While I've done this on other cars, when the salesman offered to install them (for free) ... I accepted.

It's refreshing to comment on outstanding customer service.

that is great service that you don't see every day now
that's great Debra.........
O'Reiley's will do that for you too.......
We don't have O'Reiley's in this area.
So yesterday I get a Checker's Auto ad, and find out they are now O'Reiley's Checker. Perhaps they will under the new banner. When they were Checkers, here, they didn't provide this service.
we've got 'em all here in Omaha....even Pep Boys now.....
That's great!
I've burned through a lot of light bulbs in my van. I just get them changed when I get my oil changed.
I hope they don't charge much. The once I did that (I'd been pulled over, so had to prove an "official repair" to get the ticket dropped), they charged so much more for the bulbs that I reverted to doing it myself.
How often do you hear about good customer service? Hardly ever! I wish a lot more companies would put their money into customer service instead of advertising. I bet they'd see a 4-fold return!
It would be interesting to see some try it.
That was nice of him.
However, that bulb might be a listening device of your State's DNR to see if you might have hit Cottontail or Bambi While driving.
While I suppose that is possible, William, these are tail lights, so I'd have to back into Bambi.
So you admit backing into Bambi!!! Did you serve baked or mashed potatoes with such a cute piece of venison?
I admit no such thing, William ;-)
Well, your neighbor's video camera caught some taillights need to be replaced. Poor Cottontail!!! Looked just like those in your picture above. I guess the SPCA should send someone to have lunch with you.
that is great service. Pep Boys will do that too.
I think Debra is outstanding at changing lightbulbs, so I won't ask how many Debra's it takes to change a taillight bulb. She could have a clone or just be aware of the wattage.
Actually, Debra is better at wiring lamps or cabling networks.
Your comment makes me laugh. When it comes to anything electronic or involving wiring, I am the last person you'd want to see. I still haven't figured out how to use our phone we've had for several years. My talent is in pulling weeds, especially dandelions.
I know of a few yards that are desparately in need of your services, William!
Do I remind you of uncle Fester?
Didn't Fester wear a monk-like robe and have a light bulb in his mouth? Your picture has neither.
Yes!!!
I of course wear rear light bulbs.
I'm not going to ask how you mount those lights, William.
Well, because of my superhero status, mounting rear light bulbs is classified as are vistors to my home last month and yes, we had a crave case of White Castles. So glad the next day was windy and I could open the living room windows: Made my cape flutter, exposing the big letter G for I am Super Gopher.
So White Castle still thrives in Greater Motown! The one I remember is actually in Highland Park.
I was born in Highland Park. I believe I got a White Castle kiddie meal that day.
Your momma should be reported for child abuse. LOL
White Castles and pork N Beans. Next day is open windows.
I was born on Thanksgiving Day. My parents called me their little butterball and that made me nervous.
That is great service and wish more places would help in this way.
Not that I haven't changed them before (I've done many), but I don't always have the tools if the nuts are frozen. The service helped this get done fast on a day when I needed that. I bet other businesses would see benefit in repeat customers if they considered it.
And all this for a pair of bulbs about $4.
They will sell a lot of them because of word of mouth comments on Gather. I regularly look for places that others recommend to shop at now.
Now thats just great, too bad more places aren't like that.
It's good to know there are still nice people out there. When I bought some new windshield wipers last year, I had a similar experience.
Makes a big difference, doesn't it? Glad to know that customer service is still alive!
The customer is always rightt.
