My hubby has several tattoos on his body. He has a wolf, a symbol he designed, and a celtic design. One of his tattoos has the astrological sign for each person in our family. He doesn't have a tattoo with my name on it at all, because I have always been a little wierd about tattooing a person's name on. You never know, relationships don't always work out. Well, today I found this tattoo on-line with my name on it, and it kind of made me think that I might like to have my name tattooed on my hubby. What are your thoughts about having tattoos with significant other's name?

I have tats and so does my husband. However, as much as I like them...I would never get someone else's name on me. AND I would never ask someone to get mine on them. It isn't that there is anything wrong with it, but what if something happens to the other person? What if one or the other started a new relationship with someone else? How would someone else's name make them feel? Know what I mean?
It's kind of sweet but I agree it can be dangerous too. It's like people that get a tattoo on their finger instead of a wedding band... just not quite as extreme.
my son has my name and sister on his arm
but being my son wont change
i am not sure what i feel about a tat with my name on a guy
cause i sure as heck wouldnt like to see a old girl friend on a guy i was dating lol
I generally don't like tattoos at all, so I probably am not the best person to ask lol.
I have his name engraved on my wedding ring (actually we both have Leah & Walker Sept 6, 07 on them) and that's as far as I'll go in the name-on-body department. It weirds me out having someone's name on my body, as if I'm literally BRANDED!!!
Considering how I feel about even changing to his name at marriage, I would NEVER EVER EVER have his name tattooed on my body.
As for the other way around, I know we're going to be married forever, but I'm not his first marriage (or his second, or even his third) and if my husband got into the habit of tattooing names on himself, he'd have a lot of "ex-wives" in more ways than just one (wives names with exes through them LOL). We talked about it (just for curiosity sake, not like we were planning to go out and do it, or anything) and we both agreed it's kinda weird.
I have teased him though, about getting my name tattooed on his butt, so he can moon any lady who hits on him, and shock her (haha) but we were just joking around.
I would have a pile of cross-outs all over my body! I managed eight years in the Navy without one tattoo. I have one daughter with tats all over and piercing everywhere. At one time I considered getting either a Russian or Mexican flag tattooed on my shoulder just to piss off the border patrol, but I thought better of it.
I wouldn't do it. Sure we all beleive our love is ever-lasting, but it might not be. Also, what if one of the people pass-away & they move on to another relationship - akward.
Curtis is seeing a tattoo artist and his work is awesome. We can set it up.
I had my "ex" husbands name tattoed on my ankle and I wish now that I never did it.
never got a tattoo. I like them. I don't know what id want a tattoo of. But a name; no I don't think I'd want that
I think its a bad idea to tattoo anyone's name on, even if you'll be together for the rest of your life!
Tattooing a name of a loved one on your body is asking for trouble. I worked in the tattoo industry for almost 15 years and I could tell you how many people came in for a name tattoo telling us "Oh we've been together for 10 years and love each other" and then a year later they were back..."What can we do to cover this?"
I don't have any and won't get any. I've seen some really pretty ones, but I try to picture what they will look like in 30 years or so.
But, you can't go wrong with the "M" on each cheek!!!! When you bend over it says "MOM" and when you are on your back it says "WOW"!!!
Thanks for sharing, Kelly here's you a 10.
