Eureka! Here I am again at my precious house - Isabel. She was named after her owner who also built part of this house. Isabel was married to Joe Kitchen and they lived here many years. Joe Kitchen and his brother, Hiram, ran Kitchen Brothers Market for a long time. Isabel was an artist and had a very green thumb. Many of her fruit trees have died; however, all of her flowers come up year after year. They greet me each time I arrive in the springtime. Here are a few pictures around Isabel and Eureka, Nevada. Thanks for viewing and I'll post some more later. I hope these come out ok. Salud

Very nice pics Marianna! I agree with Linda!
Deb, appreciate it ! Thanks. Salud
Great little tour. All the photos were nice, but the one I liked most was of you and Beanie.
Very nice photos and essay Marianna. I hope you're having a good week.
Wonderful pictures and essay. Now I know what Isabel is.
Wonderful photographs.
My name is the Scottish Gaelic version of Isobel!
lovely, miz m!! it makes me happy to see the places you love.
That place is adorable. I'd love to have a get-away hang out like that. Do you ever time share ;) Have you ever wanted to see Missouri, not the Ozarks but the corn belt? Ah, didn't think so. Thanks for the beautiful pictures. I just love that name, Isabel Kitchen. You should name your next rescue kitty Isabel Kitchen.
Nice photos!
Love your style Ms Mariana...always makes me smile!
What a beautiful place it is...and I imagine Isabel is happy to have you back home ;-)
Lovely photos!
I like the one of you too! What happened to your place in Santa Barbara? And how is your elderly neighbor?
I still have my Santa Barbara house, Jan...it survived - Thank God - and my elderly neighbor is still kicking - my housesitter goes to visit her every few days but she's waiting for us to get back!! This is my little get away house only ten and a half hours away but in another world - filled with good junk!
Thank you Marianne R.
Rose, thank you and I think she is - I found something of hers today so that may be a sign. Thanks Boo Boo. More later folks. Salud
Looks lovely! A change of scenery is so nice. My husband and I took two-week vacations camping in Northern California every year for a long time. I love to remember and picture the lakes and woods all these many years later. They are fresh in my mind.
I'm so glad your Santa Barbara home is OK. I worried about you.
The name fits her. I hope that the next place I move to is worthy of a name. Rental houses don't get names (well, at least, not ones for polite company).
Isabel - a pretty name for a pretty place. Love those pink bushes too.
Mariana - I'm glad to hear your home in Santa Barbara is OK too.
Lovely pics of the place:)
Wonderful photos Mariana, enjoy your time tere.
You must really enjoy going here and taking a break from real life. Nice place to just sit back and let the creative juices flow.
A wonderful essay, my dear friend - I especially loved your picture with the cat. ;-)
Salud - S.
I love the personality you have endowed the house with. How long will you stay?
Thank you for the fun tour, Mariana!
yay for isabel - providing your little family with such warmth and happiness. and the photos are wonderful!
I loved all the photos of Isabel.
You make every place seem magical.
Hi Mariana
These photos are wonderful. A picture is worth a thousand words and these are worth a million. They make one feel if one is right there. The place is oozing with atmosphere. Do you ever see ghosts of old miners? Was there once a casino?
I'm so glad that your Santa Barbara house is OK. Why don't they cut huge firebreaks over there? It seems that once a blaze starts, nothing can stop it.
I've been a bit quiet. It's my back again. I'm going in for an op on the third...and then never again, I hope. Blessings to you dear and Salud.
Lovely to see you all settled in yur adroable Isabel!I'm off to explore you photos in the detail they deserve. Love to you and yours, darlin' girl!
Definitely full of personality. Absolutely love it!
