Once again it appears that a Mars hoax that has widely circulated through the Internet since its first appearance during the summer of 2004 has begun to circulate yet again. It comes in the form of an e-mail message titled "Mars Spectacular," which originated from an unknown source.

I remember the year it was very close, but like the article said, it was just like a large red star to us.

I remember the first round of this. Th' Luvly Laura had just bought me an Orion telescope, and I set it up on the back porch. In the view of the 'scope, it DID look "big as the moon" LOL Really good viewing for SE Michigan that week, too.
