I did not see this, it was my wife who passed it on to me. She said there was a clip on TV with Ann Coulter, and she was arguing that the remaining 240 prisoners should be kept at Guantanamo, because if they were to be housed in a Supermax prison they would present a tempting target for Al Qaeda liberation squads.
My response is great, send Bin Laden an engraved invitation. If Al Qaeda thinks that they have the capability to smuggle a squad into the USA, fight their way into a supermax prison , liberate a couple of comrades, then smuggle them to the US border or coastline, and make their way home to the middle east, all without losing the entire attack squad, well, they have a vivid imagination. Al Qaeda, seems to me, is too bright to play that game when they are already having more fun playing the game of summoning American soldiers halfway around the planet to fight Al Qaeda on their home turf where Al Qaeda has all the advantages other than technology. More fun to kill american soldiers with snipers, mortars, or roadside bombs than to risk your life a thousand times for the pointless project of liberating some guy who might have been important in 2002, but has been replaced a half dozen times since then by new Al Qaeda goons who died in their turn.
Who you gonna listen to, Ann Coulter, or your own brain? That's been the question for quite some time. Did you see this clip? Did I miss something?
Coulter also falsely asserted that there is "no evidence" that Guantánamo "has served as a recruiting tool for terrorists." In fact, military and FBI interrogators have stated that terrorists have successfully used the detention facility at Guantánamo Bay as a recruiting device. What else you got, Ann?

she lies and makes things up constantly, Joe, yet her supporters think that she is attractive, funny, and thought provoking. None of those three words describe her even remotely. It's absurd.
I did not see the Ann Coulter thing so I can't comment one way or the other on that but...I don't think Al Qaeda is worried about getting anyone out of the US. If they sent an attack squad, I believe they would all understand it was a one way trip. That is the problem with fighting this kind of terrorist.

if Al Queda had wanted to they could have captured people and kept them as ransom for releasing prisoners back to them, Al Queda has already written off all their prisoners as martyrs to their cause.
We should just send them back to their countries and remove any chance of them ever gettin into the US again. Tatoo them or some such, take their passports put them on a no-travel list. It is all doable.
Ann Coulter is simply idiotic in her arguments. I don't understand who buys her books or promotes her career - but it is certainly not I.
She is surely Rush Limbaugh's sister. I cannot imiagine any man--or woman-- dating her except for fame and money.
