Hi everyone. I hope you are all having a great Memorial Day weekend. I chose not to do much this weekend due to a mini surgery that didn't heal quickly enough and there was no way I was going to get out in that traffic. We live in a small town in Arizona (Payson) and two main highways intersect right in the middle of town and on long weekends or warm weekends the traffic is bumper to bumper from one end to the other and sometimes all the way down one highway to Phoenix. Pretty scary!
Here is another puzzle for you guys. And since I've been so distracted lately, if I don't respond to the puzzle within a couple of days, hound me with emails and wake me up. LOL.
What In The World Is It?

Please post your guesses here and not on the individual picture page. I don't want to miss any guesses.

it is what puts the window up and down in a car or truck
I knew you had the right answer....
?
I haven't a clue!
I'm not sure, related to a crank maybe?
My daughter, Toni, is related to a crank; ME!! LOL
LOL Tanya you are too funny!
Ha! You think I'm joking. LOL
Lol!
Are you cranky, Mom? LOL
use to see something just like that at work every day..
I've been seeing a little "crank" a little at work every day too.
window regulator in a car or truck
wait... i got it, A GEAR!
LOL, Jeana!
Part of one of those old rusty trucks you found in the desert.
I am sorry to hear that you had surgery. My dh had thyroid surgery this past Monday, so we are staying home this weekend and catching up on old recorded tv shows and doing some Gathering. He is doing good and getting kind of restless.
Ooooh, my surgery was just minor. I hope your dh is healing quicker than I have been.
Sorry I have not been around much the past few months. I had to change positions at work when my job got outsourced. I had to go through 6 weeks of training and had my days and hours changed, so I have been too worn out to get a lot of Gathering done.
I haven't been around much either. I've found new addictions on the Internet and have been busy with work and the Happy Hoodie. I'll bet you ARE worn out.
The thing that goes "cha-ching" on an old cash register?
I want one of those things that goes "cha-ching" on an old cash register.
That's the thing Emeril is talking about when he says "Let's kick it up a notch!"
Good luck on the recovery!
Thank you Vern.
Feel better. No clue on the picture.
Thank you Jerry.
Hi Jim!!!! I'm here just really busy and sidetracked.
Okay, here it is. I thought for sure this would be much harder than it was but it seems that Larry H proved me wrong by guessing what it was within minutes (maybe seconds) of me posting it. Yay, Larry! Brag it up! Yes, it is a window crank on an old vehicle. Everyone else who guessed it too, brag it up!!! I'll post the bigger picture of it too.
Toni, they changed the way to format in the comment field. Now if you want that area to be bold, highlight it, then click the control key and the letter b. Here are the instructions Tom Gerace gave me in response to my query:
We made it easier to format text using bold or italics or underlining in this release. You no longer need to use HTML for that. Like on a word processor, you use ctrl+b to turn on/off bold, ctrl+i for italics, or ctrl+u for underlining, right in the comment window as you are typing.
cool picture
I love the textures and I am a great fan of what the elements ca do.
Yay, Larry!
amazing to see it work. something as simple as that.
wow, that is old
I hope you have healed.
This is of course the gear shaft of the first blender you got while in the fifth grade. Such a wise choice for an intelligent 5th grader.
