We went to our favorite restaurant. We had beer battered onion rings for an appetizer. He had iced tea, I had a Sioux City root beer. We both ordered steaks and hashbrowns. Dinner also included a lettuce salad and dinner roll. I could not quite finish my steak, so brought that and my dinner roll home..hhhmmm..mini sandwich?
To extend our exciting "date night", when we got back to town, we went to Wal Mart for a few things, got groceries and then bought bedding plants. I got marigolds, petunias, and I believe some Impatiens. That is all. The stores just do not have a large variety this year, and I am just positive they have not as many plants in stock either.I would be out there planting right now but it is getting dark. Hopefully weather holds and I can work on that after work tomorrow.
We did get just a tiny bit of rain, but it seemed to go north of us.
I think I am going to go take a bath and get my "comfies" on. Maybe read my book for awhile...

Sounds like a good night to me. I wanted to go to Home Depot to look for plants and then go out to eat with my husband tonight, but he said he was too tired. I think he just want to stay in and watch the ballgame. I'm kind of mad at him for being so boring. Your night sounds exciting to me. LOL Hopefully tomorrow will be more exciting.

It sounds like a nice date night. We're going on a date night in two weeks. It will be the first one without Elliott in over a year! I think we are going out to eat and to see a movie.
Lucky for us, Elliott is usually good in restaurants (other than thinking that he has to sit in my lap for at least half the meal), so we go on "family dates" at least a couple times each month.

What a great idea for a date night! Do I get to pick who I go out with LOL My hubby never wants to go anywhere either he always wants to stay at home so I have since decided that is that is where he wants to be he can so I go with a girlfriend or son and D-I-L. Not as good but I am getting used to it!

Sounds fun, but we're too old and been married too many years for "date night!" Besides, there's absolutely NO way this Memorial Day weekend, as we've been so ungodly busy.....so far, in these past could of days have gone through two tanks of gas for my little car......LOL!
