good choice Esther!
I remember that one too...Thanks for sharing.
Great song Esther! I loved it then and still love it now!
don't remember this one
lol! I remember them... and it's funny to watch how we were back then...
SOULTRAIN!
Oh those polyester suits!!
This was a good song; I do remember it. It kind of reminds me of some groups like the Delphonics and Intruders that I really loved.
When I see the title "What You See Is What You Get," I think of Brenda K. Starr's classic song. It is a completely different song than the Dramatic's song, but Brenda was the best when it came to Dance Music. I saw her perform on 30 different occasions - she was fantastic!!
I didnt mind the double knit material. They sang so great in those days. But looked like Movie Stars all the time. No wrinkles, wash and wear. Now the clothes look like they have been slept in for weeks. Unless they have someone who still remembers how to iron. Men looked so sexy.
That is from my generation. Not to many singers I didnt like back then. Wish I could do the uTube like my friend Ester. But have to wait until she puts one up. Her Salsa music is good too.
I remember this song , real well. It's a great song and when it came out it was so very true, so many people were plastic then. Many focused on being another Twiggy. So many people claimed not to be racist but were back then. It was a different time back then. One fellow senior wrote in my yearbook I was the only "real" person in our school.
It could have been my theme song when I was younger. I graduated in 1972. I had a lot of friends, but I was never in any clique's. Because of my home life, it was hard to have close friends. I was never one to put on false pretenses.
Good or bad, what you see, is what you get.
I think my second husband liked my "realness", cause what you see with me, is what you get.
