One incredible son

My incredible student would have to be my son Daniel.

Over the past year he has overcome so much all while maintaining an A/B average at school.

It started out that for Christmas his father decided to kick him out, all because Daniel had to be at school early that day to make up a test, he had missed while he was out sick. Daniel decided that he would take the test, when he got home from school that afternoon, he found out his father said he was no longer welcome at his house.

Daniel call me…mom dad threw me out.

I’m on my way!

I take him the school board here in Barrow County, and proceed to register him for school. Well all goes well till the school sends for his records. His father has refused to release them!

So I spend the next 3 days begging with my ex to release Daniel’s school records so he doesn’t miss too much school, the answer is always a no.

But I have the state and the county on my side. They look and see what the can do. It took 10 school days but they finally found a loop hole, and Daniel was now enrolled back in school! He didn’t miss a beat; he made up all the work, and still kept his grades up.

Since then the bottom has fallen out of the economy, and Daniel is still being the wonderful son that he is! He has taken on a full time job at the local pizza place so that he can help mom out with the bills…and can you believe this ….he just received his Georgia Graduation test results back, he scored advanced on EVERYTHING!!!

He will be a senior next year; he has already earned two honor ribbons to wear with his cap and gown next year. He is one incredible student! Even when faced with things that most adults wouldn’t be able to handle; Daniel does!
